Little Lamb

" I love you" He'd say as he held her hand In the noon day. She believed him. She believed his lies And fake promises. She trusted him And his deep blue Reassuring eyes. She loved him back Until he locked her in his bedroom. Fear rooted in the core Of a daughter Who sat their innocent and scared Like a lamb before a slaughter You'd think his parents Would have taught him some decency It that it would at least Be inked in his humanity. But no. Not at all
