Gone Away

I didn't know what to expect
When you went away
at the time it was a bizarre concept
but I never told you to stay

I predict, tears and a sad face
Not the blank face of my phone
While my home became a place
as I never felt more alone

The time difference was strange
Made calling becoming more of a game
I guess we were just out of range
I don't know who is to blame

You got busy as I got sad
my angry heart was battered
I couldn't help but get mad
as my heartfelt shattered

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
