At almost 63 years old life has delivered some unexpected and difficult to navigate twist with many obstacles, however with God's help and my family I have gotten through. My childhood was spent outdoors and poor but immensely loved by my parents. My imagination and love of writing started in grade school.
Spending over 37 years (so far) in the nursing field of ICU/ER has given me a pretty sick sense of humor at times also. Through the years there have been many tragedy's including the death of my daughter and I have found writing frees my emotions and help pull me out of the darkness that tries to invade my space.
My other passions in life besides my church and family are are nature and it's beauty. A few months ago I passed my critical care torch to the young nurses I mentored and joined the forces of school nurses. Never let anyone tell you it is easy. Life is fun with my grandchildren helping to keep my young and bringing much laughter. Even though often you would not be able to tell it from my writing. I promise I will show that side too.
