Aim High

Aim for the best in life
Try to be the first
Greater heights await you
Never give up hope
Its true life is very short
But make the best out of it
Stand on the highest mountain
And have the best view in life
Achieve bigger goals
For greatness awaits you
Shake the hurt away
Say goodbye to pain
Don’t be shaken by anything
Coz you are not the worse
Big moments are ahead of you
Never fail to fly high

Memories of the Past

This air blows around me
Reminds me of the good old days
High school days which are past
Gone never to return
Old faces come and go
My head is full of them
Can remember the locked ins and outs
Wish it could repeat itself
Is there anyway to bring it back
Pictures won’t do
Coz it hurts
Times past still hunting

I’m listening to this song
But it keeps on coming
Assemblies we had
Songs we sang together
Social nights and youth activities
Its unbelievable how fast time runs
Real soon we’ll all be gone
It’s hard to comprehend
But it’s a fact everyman has to face
Life will go out
Just as school days go
Wish I could be back again
Talk more with everyone
See the same old faces
But no, it’s not possible
There are faces that will never be seen

This air is pretty cold
Reminds me how cold life is
Days of softball tournaments
Homeruns and first bases
All now behind me
Passed on like a closed chapter
Will I ever be the same?
I keep asking over and over
Soccer team and hatricks
All a playback movie in my memory now
 Tears about to fall
It hurts a lot
No more buffness or athletics
All history now
And I keep asking over and over
Is life fair?
Memories are past events
They never repeat
The cold air is too harsh
And the memories are fading
But wait
I will remember who I was
Be proud I was part of a great place
This will be my only consolation in this life

When I First Met Her

Twas a bright Sunday morning
Got to church in high spirit
Then I saw her
What a shock I had
She sung in the choir
And oh
Sounded like an Angel
It was unbelievable

And twas a Sunday morning
I looked real stupefied
Then I tried to forget her
But no
She sat two rows in front
I can’t believe it
Looked like an angel
It was disturbing

And twas still a Sunday morning
Could not stop staring at the back of her head
Tried as I did I could not
Church ended and had to go
She sat beside me in the car
Oh man
Could not utter a word
Watched her get down
Like an angel
It was awe inspiring

All on a Sunday morning
I watched her walk away
Tried to think of saying a goodbye
Just couldn’t bring my self to say it
Felt like my life was about to end
But wait
She would be around the next Sunday
That would be my chance
My heart started beating fast
She became a dot in the distance
But still big in my heart

Identity

In life he struggles
To gain identity
Competing against the odds
Knows he has no chance
But yet he fights on
To make it very big
All by himself alone
He faces the road
Till he’s made it
And found an identity

Nature

Feel the wind blowing around
The warmth of the sun on you
Rain beating down your skin
The snow freezing you out
Enjoy nature to the fullest
It’s all we have

Never Did

Thought I would see you
 But never did
Longed to be with you
You weren’t near
I waited for you
But you didn’t show
I needed you
You weren’t around
I called you
But no response
Looked around to see
You weren’t there
Said I would see you
But I never did
Assured me you would be close
You were no where
I ask my self
Where are you
But no reply
All silence

Once Again and Again

I will give all to hold you once again
Have you in my arms and love
Look in your eyes and tell
How much you mean to me

Wish you could hug me once again
Feel your body close to mine
Hold you and show
The great love I have for you

How I want them to know again
That we are closer than ever
Brought together by love
And mysteriously attached

I want to give all for you again
Kiss and have by me
Bound together forever
Never ever to let go

King Emman, a King Indeed.

Who is this man?
The boy asked his father
He learned about him every Sunday school
He had heard he was a King
A King?
What king is born in a manger?
What King is born poor?
A King they say
A King not accepted by his people
A King who owns nothing
Only what’s on his back
A great king indeed

Son,
King Emman was more than a King
More than anything the world has seen
And would ever see
Born into a poor family by his own will
The only one in this world
Who chose where and when to be born
But he chose to be humbled
Humbled to the lowest of men
Who created the world?
None but he
Its he who holds authority over the earth
He was despised and rejected
Rejected by men he created by his power
A master who stoops so low
To correct the bad ways of his people with his life
That is who King Emman is
A King indeed.

A Lovers Loss

My heart longs for my love
Searched for her but she was gone
Called for her but she was not there
Pleaded for her but was no where
We have become separate
Fate has changed my life
I have lost my love
Death has struck me
Taken what was mine
I’m now all alone

A Bright New Day

It’s a bright new day
I wake up changed
A different person now
I’ve put all behind
Woken up to a new day
Feel different now
Learnt to let go
And continue with life
