When I First Met Her

Twas a bright Sunday morning
Got to church in high spirit
Then I saw her
What a shock I had
She sung in the choir
And oh
Sounded like an Angel
It was unbelievable

And twas a Sunday morning
I looked real stupefied
Then I tried to forget her
But no
She sat two rows in front
I can’t believe it
Looked like an angel
It was disturbing

And twas still a Sunday morning
Could not stop staring at the back of her head
Tried as I did I could not
Church ended and had to go
She sat beside me in the car
Oh man
Could not utter a word
Watched her get down
Like an angel
It was awe inspiring

All on a Sunday morning
I watched her walk away
Tried to think of saying a goodbye
Just couldn’t bring my self to say it
Felt like my life was about to end
But wait
She would be around the next Sunday
That would be my chance
My heart started beating fast
She became a dot in the distance
But still big in my heart
