Suzanne Hogg Poem
I do not hunger for you now
All those days are gone
Time has spent the heavenly brow
The pangs of parting long
When once we met, you took my hand
And bade my cares away
Hopeful dreams, forbidden land
In poppy fields we lay
You said you'd always love me
But then the flowers died
Nights passed over silently
The moon shone and i cried
And now i sit and remember
Thoughts of long ago
A night in mid september
When i loved you so.

Suzanne Hogg Poem
WINTER
Winter sheds her marble tears
Autumn colours fade
Coldness whispers in our ears
Spectral carpets laid
Icicles hang from virgin trees
Weeping in lament
Long forgotton chestnut leaves
Flowers blossom spent
Fields lie with frosted waves
Creatures hide away
Quiet is the haunted graves
Misted clouds of grey
Spring rests her ebbing wings
Dreaming for a while
Silent in her whisperings
Prior to her smile
