Don'T Weep Standing At My Grave

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
If you may wish to!
I am not there.

I am in the breath,
That you would release as you laugh.

I am in the early morning wind,
That would touch your face,
As the sun would rise.

I am in the fragance,
Of the roses you bought.

I am in the dreams,
When you sleep in comfort.

Cry not, if u may, at my demise.
As finally I am living the times!

That to me were foresaken and in debt,
While when I was living yet dead.

Inspiration

The blessings bestowed upon me,
I neglect.
The roof, the food, the clothing;
I didn't notice,
Until someone today,
I met.

Struggling each minute,
Each day and every year,
This man,
Earns his blessings..
For basic necessities,
For also to be heard,
And hear!

He is deaf
He is mute.
His bravery ..
Is an insipration..
To which- I salute!

How petite are my list of sorrows?
How I say I am unhappy?
Where this man,
Smiles and lives each day,
Embracing and awaiting,
A yet another tomorrow.

What Vs Why

Why is that, do you ever ask?
Why did she surrender,
Why is he wearing a mask,
Why is she so emotional,
Why he is so torn apart,
Why is he/she in such an awful task?
No, we never ask!

We pass verdicts and judgements:
“She is characterless,
Oh him? Such a Casanova!”
“She is emotional,
He is so rude!”

“So much for us to take and weigh!”
“He/she is mad, depressed, and obnoxious!
Such bad! I say!”

Today I ask openly,
To each one of you! Who are you to say?
A judge?
Then why such words at him/her you’d threw?

Punished and penalised;
Why is he or she to get it from you.
What has he/she done to you,
Then why is such a picture of them you drew?

Do we know which extra mile,
Has that person walked on?
May be he/she started to struggled
even before it was dawn!

Why is that she surrendered,
Why is that he is torn apart!
Simply bother to listen, I say!
Ask him/her to sing their untold song,
Why is that he/she comes out so strong?

No, as likely we are, they say;
living our lives in a selfish world.
You and I have to deal with our own selfishness,
Stick with it and die!
Isn’t it?
That’s the norm to abide by.
Hence so, we never struggle
In between What and Why?

My One Sided Love For Him

Love that I had & have,
Doesn't seem to fade soon.
The violin that plays in my heart,
This string never does it untune.

Your one glance at me,
In every way, lights up my world.
Your glance if lasts more than two seconds,
Ah! Spellbound I be!
I sway, I dance, my eyes glitter
& I pass my days dreaming,
To be in your arms.
In la-la land, myself I tend to see.

Questioning my one sided love,
Is no more pleasurable.
Now I rather notice and live,
The power of this emotion,
Which sure is immeasurable.

This love is sure loyal,
None can betray it,
Not even thee.
This love is mine,
None can take it,
Or outshine.

I say it again & again that,
I love thee & that I do!
It doesn't die,
Even if you show me days so blue.
With each passing year,
This love adds a brand new hue,
To one day form a rainbow,
For you to cause a remembrance,
Of pure love & a girl,
Who was madly in love,
Despite knowing the odds
& that it can never make do!

Unaccomplished Dream

There's nothing I want to say,
There's nothing I wish to discuss.
I simply want to walk,
Walk till I reach home.

My heart is beating faster,
My mind is chasing the distance,
As I try hard to forget,
A feeling which is mine
& I have the right to own;
But failing to,
As the seeds have not yet sown.

It's harder than it may seem,
To accept:
In life we don't get everything we want.
Some vigorous efforts,
Now have started to haunt.
I can say: "its painful!"
For when- meticulously;
I have cherished, nurtured and owned-
Just one Dream.

Nothing

Nothing I ever had,
Nothing I can lose.
Nothing is a strong word.
I know! Because I feel nothing.

Complains and expectations,
Did no good.
"My happiness?" A feeling due.
I would ask
Long awaiting my turn,
Standing in a queue.

This life,
I never got to choose.
Uncertain situations, with me,
Did share its views!

A journey from- To try and tried!
A several times, over and over again!
I only found myself with Nothing!
An effort with no gain!

Emotions ran dry,
And now eyes refuse to cry.
A frolic soul once
Is today,
Just living by!

But as they say!
'Nothing' last forever.
May be tomorrow will be different,
A hope that today, I feel I lack.
So taking some time off,
And a step back,
I sink in this feeling and embrace-
'Nothing'.

Long Awaiting Love

A romantic weather,
Awaits my sight.
I look through the window,
And it rains with all its might!

The innocent droplets,
Play a soul touching music,
And be a tease!
My heart pounds for love
Looking for the one,
With each soft breeze.

I wish to share,
This beautiful view,
With someone,
Who is looking for me too!

Souvenir

Let the feelings flow and the scribbled words stay as a souvenir of that moment.

A Life's Purpose

Why am I here,
Why is this life I live?
God, your definition of birth,
I still have to catch on...
Why you give lives?
Because one moment we touch the skies,
& the other, in deep ocean, we simply dive!

Is it just a movie you like to see?
With characters playing their roles.
Each life is given a script.
Unaware of the climax,
The characters are just doing their jobs.
Some feign, some be good, some have reasons, some dont!
But what is that is the ultimate goal?

What is that you consider flop?
Or a hit at the heaven's box office?
Who is to receive an Oscar?
As the purpose is itself not known!
There is trauma, love, sorrow and care?
What is the reason behind cutting the umbilical cord?
When in the end,
I submit to thee, Lord!

Start Over

Dawn Never questions Dusk,
Sprawls upon to bring Sunshine.

Likewise,
Forget What's Gone,
To Kiss Happiness & Embrace the Divine!
