Inspiration

The blessings bestowed upon me,
I neglect.
The roof, the food, the clothing;
I didn't notice,
Until someone today,
I met.

Struggling each minute,
Each day and every year,
This man,
Earns his blessings..
For basic necessities,
For also to be heard,
And hear!

He is deaf
He is mute.
His bravery ..
Is an insipration..
To which- I salute!

How petite are my list of sorrows?
How I say I am unhappy?
Where this man,
Smiles and lives each day,
Embracing and awaiting,
A yet another tomorrow.

This is a great expression of appreciation for the difficult lives of those who have to scratch and claw for everything that is seemingly handed to them. Also, it reads aloud nicely, and I bet if you read it at a reading, it would be received favorably.
