What Vs Why

Why is that, do you ever ask?
Why did she surrender,
Why is he wearing a mask,
Why is she so emotional,
Why he is so torn apart,
Why is he/she in such an awful task?
No, we never ask!

We pass verdicts and judgements:
“She is characterless,
Oh him? Such a Casanova!”
“She is emotional,
He is so rude!”

“So much for us to take and weigh!”
“He/she is mad, depressed, and obnoxious!
Such bad! I say!”

Today I ask openly,
To each one of you! Who are you to say?
A judge?
Then why such words at him/her you’d threw?

Punished and penalised;
Why is he or she to get it from you.
What has he/she done to you,
Then why is such a picture of them you drew?

Do we know which extra mile,
Has that person walked on?
May be he/she started to struggled
even before it was dawn!

Why is that she surrendered,
Why is that he is torn apart!
Simply bother to listen, I say!
Ask him/her to sing their untold song,
Why is that he/she comes out so strong?

No, as likely we are, they say;
living our lives in a selfish world.
You and I have to deal with our own selfishness,
Stick with it and die!
Isn’t it?
That’s the norm to abide by.
Hence so, we never struggle
In between What and Why?
