Don'T Forget

Midnight skies
and wondering clouds,
makes it hard to see the stars.

But don't forget
they're always there,
even when the night seems harsh.

The coldness
slowly creeping in,
makes you want to sleep.

But don't forget
there isn't snow,
without the lack of heat!

The Lost Me

I've been so lost for so long
that I've lost my way home,
tried to find love in other strangers
and putting myself in danger,
drank myself into oblivion
to the point where I can't see,
now I'm looking for a light
I'm looking for me.

It's easy to say I'm okay when
everyone else can't see,
the hardest part is being alone
cause' i'm missing who I used to be,
and I don't think she'll ever come back now
the girl I knew is gone,
I've taken her life and replaced it with mine
how can I possibly go on?

she was happy and kind
had the whole world to find,
but somewhere along the way,
she bumped into me
and now she can't see,
I've taken her sight away
there were bumps in the road
I wouldn't let her avoid
made her fall almost everytime,
now there's no going back
what I did's in the past,
I have to pay for my crime.

My confession.

My truth.

Always Choose You

I love you more than I’ve ever dared to before,
I’ve forgiven you for things I wouldn’t anyone else,
I’m so afraid to lose you that I let you break my heart,
I’m so afraid of breaking yours, or my own.

I need you more than I dare to admit,
I care more than I wish that I could,
I worry and get scared more than ever before,
You’re my life, my downfall, my bad and my good.

But the thing is, my darling,
I’d never want you to change,
I love you for you, and I always will,
Even if it drives me to the point of insane.
Every single time, I will always choose you.

Quiet Eyes

They don't see those quiet eyes
Those too good smiles,
Those awful nights.

They don't see behind your mask
Your careful heart that's
Made of glass.

They don't see your silent cry
Don't know you tried to
Take your life.

They don't see the real you
The one who feels all this,
I do.

I can see those quiet eyes.
I have seen those awful nights.
I can see beyond the mask.
I've been the one you spoke to last.

I can see the real you
I know who you are,
What you do.

I sometimes feel
The same way too,
But I have this...
I have you.

I just hope you know
You have me too.

2am

It's 2am in the morning
and even though i'm tired
my mind just can't shut off
it's like it's been rewired!

my body feels the energy
slowly falling still
but my mind is somewhere else
It's awake against my will.

I forgot to take the tablet
that sings my mind to sleep
so until tomorrow evening
I guess i'll just count sheep!

The Painting

It's a word
It's a passion
It's a life.

It's careful
It's creative
And alive.

It's beautiful
And silent
But speaks.

It's a world
Where anyone
Can be.

It's a name
It's a heart
It's untold.

It's treasured
Admired
Or sold.

It's a secret
That only
He knows.

It's a sadness
It's part of
His soul.

It's a word
It's a smile
It draws you in.

It's freedom
It's solitude
It's from within.

It's poetic
unique
It's colors apart.

It's a moment
It's real
It's a work of art!

Our Time

Time makes me wait,
Then it pulls you away,
Like the moon pulls the
tide from the shore.
It's cruel like that,
Not a care in the world,
Yet I wait and I wait once
More.

Time is a coward,
So afraid to be late,
That it hurries you away
Without sound.
It's cruel like that,
No compassion or thought,
The one thing to which we are
bound.

Time is a constant companion,
Always just one step ahead
until we need it to hurry,
Then it stops in its tracks
and plays dead.

Dear Daddy

Dear daddy can you hear me?
Can you see my face?
I know you cannot visit,
but just tell me you're okay?

Dear daddy are you listening?
Can you even hear me at all?
I know it's a long way to call from,
but just give me a sign that's all!

Dear daddy do you miss me?
Can you feel that I miss you?
I know you felt sad about leaving,
now I feel sad sometimes too...

Dear daddy are you sorry?
That you left us on that night?
Do you wish you could go back and change it?
Or are you happy to be out of sight?

Dear daddy I love you.
And I miss you everyday.
Dear daddy don't worry,
I'll see you again one day.

The Stars Are Out Tonight

It's silent but it's so alive.
It's cold but it's real.
It's dark yet it's beautiful.
It's everything I feel.

As I breath in the air,
It satisfies my soul!
Once yearned for inspiration,
of which the dullness stole.

I was walking with a blinded heart,
But slowly it gained it's sight,
There's more to the world
Than I'd known
Like the stars are out tonight.

Who Am I

I don't know who I am,
I've changed so many times.
so many different versions
like completely different lives.
I don't know who I am,
I don't know how to be.
I've just learnt to copy others
to live acceptably.
I don't know who I am,
I don't know how to feel.
I don't know how to separate
what is and isn't real.
I don't know who I am,
but maybe that's alright.
maybe it's a good thing, well,
it gives me more to write!
