Kay Li Su Poem
I kissed your lips before I knew your pain
Your eyes still shine the brightest blue to me
If time reversed I would kiss you again
My love, we have the whole wide world to see
Your troubles and your fears deter me not
I'd walk through flames to hold your hand in mine
Your persevering heart is not for naught
That heart that stole my own for all of time
My skin will never cease to miss your touch
No matter any trials, we'll prevail
You know I'll always love you just as much
In spite of what the future may entail
I promise I am with you, low or high
I'll be your wings until the day I die

Kay Li Su Poem
A butterfly alights from a dewed rose
As fog begins to lift beyond the trees
What mysteries does this new day propose
Once sun and sky shine lively through the leaves?
An open cottage door within the wood
Sways lightly in the whistling wind at dawn
The house where once a lonely mother stood
Now is home to a doe and her young fawn
The forest is alive with sights and souls
The past and present to this day align
Where weariness of cities takes no tolls
To peacefully repose and then resign
The wilderness is there in every breath
And nature brings its life to even death

Kay Li Su Poem
Sleeping, dreaming
I see you, soft
Slipping into silken dreams
I lie here with you
I can only hope
That I lie inside of you, too
Can I nestle into your soul?
You already have mine
Do you know
That I would slumber forever
If only to be by your side?
My love, my heart drips gold
And overflows with
The thought of you
If only I could
Lie here like this,
Wrapped up in you,
Until the universe decides
That I must return my energy
To whence it came
Darling, I would
I can never return that energy
Which gives life to my soul-
That energy is no longer
Mine to give
What once was mine
Is so willingly yours

Kay Li Su Poem
Steam rises from my mug
I close my eyes and reflect
Breathing in the notes of lavender
Losing myself in the land
Where these leaves were harvested
I know they breathed the mountain air
Every time I sip, I breathe it, too
Tastes of lands far away
Dance on my tongue
My body is warmed
My head space is clear
I am ready to begin my day
And take the mountain leaves with me

Kay Li Su Poem
I miss your little body inside mine
Your life- it was a glow, a radiant light
Why must your heart have beat so short a time
I cannot have you back, try though I might
Where has your soul escaped to, angel child?
And why, so soon, did you run from this world?
Before your legs ran young and free and wild
Before I ever met my little girl
My child, I’ve lost your body, not your love
I feel it still when I am most alone
I sense my tiny angel up above
And thus, I know you’re never truly gone
Someday I know that I will come to you
So love, please just stay young until I do

Kay Li Su Poem
Tonight, I enter the wood
The black tar of night envelops me
Winter creeps up my spine
Making its way through my nerves
Freezing at my fingertips
All light is absent now
Save for the glinting of Her yellowed lunar glow
Off the frozen tundra
That crunches beneath
My bare, frostbitten feet
Gazing at the sky,
Her light washes over my features
She enters my lungs
She spreads through my blood
I am chilled and enchanted
Shall I dance with Her?
She has already gripped my frail body
With her luminescent fingers
So I give in
To her unconditional light
My Moon, my love, my light
I will waltz with Her into the night sky
Away into the stars
As she lifts me from my frozen feet
Letting me abandon my mortality

Kay Li Su Poem
Every bump and bruise
Scars are your stories
Tell them to me
I read your body
Your skin is my Braille
My favorite read
Imperfectly flawless
The novel of the century
My fantasy

Kay Li Su Poem
You pull me in
Your hands are hot
Your eyes are ablaze
You set me on fire
Tell me how I’m supposed to breathe
When the smell of you
Fills my lungs with smoke
Burning pleasure into capillaries
Breaking me
Breaking into me
You make me vulnerable
You make me me
Mold me with your soft fingers
Curling smoke around my body
Invading my senses
But in the best way
I want to
Walk into your fire
I want to
Taste your embers
When your skin leaves mine
I smolder
Not destroyed
Reborn

Kay Li Su Poem
Take a sip, the bottle beckons
Draw the drinker in
Snag her wrist with fingers firm
She takes a swig of gin
At times she feels like dancing
And at times she cannot move
The bottle pins her down
Oh, what a twisted kind of love
The liquid kisses seem so sweet
Before tomorrow’s dawn
But come the daylight, she can see
That sugared kiss is gone
She’s bruised and she is beat
But is it of her own accord?
When a woman is a drunk
How many drinks can she afford?

Kay Li Su Poem
I am a decoration
My skin preserves my past
Its meaning is well-written
Its value, deep and vast
Many read my stories
And many fail to see
My body art is beauty
My beauty becomes me
