Keep Your Head

Keep your head above the parapet,
and don't forget it's a bright morning.
If the day should turn out wet,
don't take it as another warning.

Remember what your mother told you:
"Clear your head and wipe your nose...
Nothing matters in this life
but the simple need to change your clothes."

Peoplexpress

I once flew on the PeoplExpress,
and felt less of a person
without my E...

People are people wherever they are,
but the missing E gave cause for alarm.

I left my bag on the PeoplExpress,
and did not care...
I wanted ME back.

Snow Fall

Season now ends with this
New fallen snow, like kiss
On earth, to never miss
What rain does, namely piss.

Felines are heard to hiss
At other felines - miss
Last of the snow in Liss;
Last of the sNow - oh piss!

Elm Tree

I told the elm it was called ELM, and it was grateful,
for it always wondered what its name could be.
I told the elm I liked it stately,
and in reply it waved a branch to me.

It watched me as I skirted round it
in long skirts I wore back then,
and the elm looked through its kindly branches
while I wrote ELM on twig with pen.

I Remember My Picnic For One - Mystic

I remember my picnic for one,
and my dreams all gone...
I had such fun
when me and you,
but there were no more
posh picnics for two.

I sat on the grass
sipping pure mint tea,
and cakes were there plenty
above the grass green.
I felt so lonely there all alone,
no more with you; completely numb.

Moonlit

Moonlit was the park,
its trees not needing lamplight:
shadows drifted steadily.
Moonlit met my need,
so I was in the right place,
looking up to all night's stars.

Life

Life's random notes from a symphony
playing to nobody - nobody cares.
Like you, they will soon be washed away
on E minor chaos with conductor away.

Thoughts Around My Brolly

My mom has given me a brolly
For it has started forth to rain.
My mom has given it - so jolly,
With its polka dots, (not plain).

She stood me on a little seat
And I'm looking at the sky...
A rainbow's there in front of me.
It's sun/rain by and by.

I'm hoping sun will shine alone
Without this rain to beat.
It would lend more of a happy tone...
Still, at least the day's not sleet!
