To the Best Mom

To the best mom I have wrote this letter,
wishing everyday we could be together.
Hearts have sunk and many tears cried,
almost feeling like someone has died.
There is no beating in my chest,
no heart there to no longer rest.
Children here without their mother,
the worst feeling like no other.
All in pain not knowing what to do,
but sit here and constantly think of you.
As you read this please don't cry,
I don't want you behind bars having your emotions die.
keep your head up and a smile on your face,
I know that's hard to do in such a place.
but remember we're here thinking of you,
and all the good times that we've been through.
I know we've had problems and not so good times,
but it all seems better written in rhymes.
So I've wrote this one down and gave it to,
I hope this helps you fight this through.
Even though you wont see me for prom,
I still could not ask for a better mom.

Good-Bye

Are you staying or are you going?
You need to chose because my heart won't stop growing.
You said it to my face and lied behind my back.
What's wrong with you, why won't you crack?
Why make me wait here and suffer?
Why wait when you know it'll get tuffer?
What is wrong with you, why won't you listen?
You really do make my heart glisten.
You've finally left and now it's all gone.
I don't really understand what went wrong.
You've left my life in a tie.
Now all I can say to you is good-bye.

We

You've tucked me under and locked me in.
You've made it to where you always win.
We've locked eyes and we've bumped heads.
We've even had to sleep in different beds.
You've made me want to pull out my own hair.
You've made me wish you wasn't there.
I hate you but I love you even more.
You've made my tears extremely pour.
I've came back and you've left again,
but never again will you win.

Why

Why don't you answer?
Why don't you call?
Why haven't I gave up at all?
Why are you there?
Why do you act like you don't care?
Why don't you listen?
Why don't you talk?
Why is it when I talk you start to walk?
Why don't you try?
Why do you make me cry?
Why do you leave?
Why won't you stay?
Why do you push me so far away?
Why don't you realize what your putting me through?
Why do I even put up with you?

Hold Back

Please give him to me I want him for myself,
but you take him away and put him on your shelf.
You treat him like crap yet he still loves you.
I've tried so hard to push you through,
and I still hear your name,
and I'm the one to blame.
He says he loves me then he says he don't.
He'll talk to her but me he won't.
He always calls and wants me there.
This whole relationship just is not fair.
I like him a lot and he says the same,
but I know his heart is still in that other lane.
I wish he'd stay but he's going to go,
and what holds him back,
I just don't know.

Please

I hate the way you make my eyes water,
it just makes me realize getting through this is going to be harder.
He loves you but he's with me.
It hurts because everyone knows and they can see.
You like me and I like you,
but I don't know if I can fight this through.
I want to stay and you want to go,
but when you want me to come I can't say no.
You've pushed me aside and tossed me back in,
then you picked up the pieces and put them together again,
but you just didn't knock them straight.
And I've got a brand new plate.
Now decide if you want to stay or go.
So you drink a beer and start a show.
You've chosen to stay,
but I know...tommorow you'll go.
