Silent Song

Hum me a song to sooth my lonely heart
Silently as the still blue nights
And reaching all over the land

Sing to me songs of sweetest melodies.
Reviving my long gone memories
Of how we danced and tell stories.

A silent tune with a lasting impact
The smile on your face your favorite track
Leading us to that perfect rock

Where we first met and had our first dance
To our silent song lights off and the moon on
Humming singing and dancing till a new dawn.

Beauty

To be beautiful that's all you cared
But its the Beauty behind all that I seek
To lose your beauty that's all you feared
So you rather to loose your sanity to be sleek

Ashes to ashes we'll all go back to dust
Living a Lie and only loving to lust
Now spare me the truth, let's keep it real
You have a soft touch and a heart of steel

Your makeup and hair, your best friends
Music and party you traded for love
I kept to myself hoping this would end
Everyone sitting cute and playing pretend

Beauty, simply a priceless treasure
Let's take a perfect picture together
Then look back tell me what you see...
See how beautiful we both could be.

Us Together

Pinch me twice cause I must be dreaming.
Could someone love me beyond loves meaning?
The way you love, care and feel...
Let me know that your love is real.

The remedy to my sleepless nights.
An addict to your beautiful smile.
The antidote to my lonely heart.
Praying this love will never break apart.

Another day to behold your beauty.
Another night wishing to be by your side.
Can't stop thinking about us together.
I can't stop thinking about you and I.

The Truth Will Tell

Stop saying things we know you don't mean,
Like I don't like you and you like when I'm mean.
People say we're the happiest they've seen,
But they don't know the half of what's real.

When I'm gone you miss me more,
But when we're close you ignore.
It's the same with me, I'm no better,
And you still cuddle my old sweater.

I don't know why but this is it...
No last call no goodbye kiss.
We know the feeling but we'll never tell...
The joy of feeling sad, like heaven in hell.

We Know the right but doeth it not,
All lights on red and we can't stop.
I guess it's not us but the truth inside,
can't hide the way we feel even if we tried.

Journey

Cheers to another year of blessing and hope
And all the years that you had to cope
Let’s just celebrate with the friends you’ve met
And all the events you’ll never forget

Nineteen times you have been blessed
Nineteen years you’ve past the test
You never quit you always tried
And never a smile you tried to hide

So I celebrate you a beauty queen
Smart, beautiful and only nineteen
All I want to say is happy birthday
And hope you enjoy it your way

LOVE YOU!!!!

(This was written for my Beautiful Girlfriend's Birthday!!!!)

Hidden Pain

Disguised with fun and a warm smile
A wave saying good day and goodbye
Chin up with bright eyes
The realities I try to hide

Trying to Fit a circle in a square
Lying to the world nothing to share
About what's real and what I fear
That wonderful costume I love to wear

Tears of joy or tears of pain?
Years of pretending they're all the same
But what's true is hidden inside
And you'd have known if you were by my side.

The Other Side

A circle has more than one sides,
And a story has many meanings.
You and I are totally different;
Until we die then we rest the same.

Who am I to say you're wrong?
When we're right in our own ways.
The grass is greener on the other side;
But which side do you stand and gaze.

You're on the outside looking in...
So you'll never see what I can.
I see someone crying for love...
You just see an ordinary man.

I see the light in the darkest night.
In a room of outrage I heard you sigh.
Rivers of tears flowing from your eyes,
To wash away the pain you feel inside.

Too Weak

May I be excused a moment or two
No one knows these feelings like do
The uninvited presence of guilt and shame
Beating on my back and screaming my name.

Standing tall on my knees
To see what my confidence sees
Nothing but a fake mask and taped lips
Afraid to face the truth as time slips.

Never be afraid I was once told
But I am afraid of loosing myself
In this ever-changing world
I keep on praying for help.

Turned-Table

I did what I did with no regrets.
But I knew one day it would come back.
Turning my head the other way, because...
To look in that direction I rather not.

I was there before I even knew it.
In that same place that you are now.
Clueless but hopeful, for the best I guess.
I knew it has ended but I still couldn't rest.

Sitting at the table with the hand you had.
Playing my cards the same way you did.
Smiling and looking, knowing I would win.
It's your time to loose just as I once did.

The table has now been turned,
Not in your favor I'm sure.
It's written, "there's a time for everything"
So it's your time to walk out the door.

Scars

We all learn from our mistakes
We're all shaped by things from our past
We may not remember them all
But we'll never forget our scars

They shape and mold us for tomorrow
They give us life long memories
The bitter truth and harsh remedies
Some by friends who turned enemies

Nevertheless I'll hold each scar dearly
Because they made me the man I am today
I say a prayer for scared victims sincerely
As I also encourage them to pray

A thousand miles starts with a step
And a million starts from one
So I did nothing that I'll ever regret
Because they're all for the greater plan.
