Hidden Pain

Disguised with fun and a warm smile A wave saying good day and goodbye Chin up with bright eyes The realities I try to hide Trying to Fit a circle in a square Lying to the world nothing to share About what's real and what I fear That wonderful costume I love to wear Tears of joy or tears of pain? Years of pretending they're all the same But what's true is hidden inside And you'd have known if you were by my side.
