Helping Hand

The sun is rising yet I cannot sleep.
Longing for a home and food to eat.
A nice warm bath, a soft shimmering light.
Hopes of a place to sleep tonight.

Memories of laughter, a different life.
Days not filled with fear and strife.
Tears they fall from my mother's eyes
When noone can see, my brother he cries.

Once a all-star with hopes and dreams,
Now he refuses to play on the team.
Please don't give up, it was ment to be.
Mom pleads and begs, please play for me.

Everyday a struggle to be clean and dressed
Smiling at coworkers when totally stressed.
Begging and pleading right here where I stand
Dear Heavenly Father send us a Helping Hand.
