ÀBÍKÚ
Àbíkú,
This is the 21st century,
Going and coming isn’t
a game,
Nor does it give you fame.
Àbíkú,
Please come no more
Mother’s breast is already
thick like an iron
Every tears we dropped, the
land sucks
Father said;
Dear Àbíkú I’ve got no farm
to harvest yam,
I sold it all to always keep
you alive.
This is your sixteenth death,
all my royal chevrons are
tattered
Come and stay as a female,
so you understands mothers
pain.
Why Àbíkú?
Why do you chose us as
your prey?
Àbíkú, the son of Dúrójayé
Forgive our wrongs and make
your home "Ilé Ayé".

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
I love it when you laugh and smile,
At the same time, in my
delight I get sad.
Because I wish I could be the only
man while other men are animals
Àdùk?´, you're so beautiful
with those marks.
Don't be bothered about the city girls,
you got tribal marks not devil marks.
When you laugh I see a rihanna,
When you now decide to keep it
low I see a Michele Obama.
Àdùk?´ Onídìrí, follow me to the city,
I'll open a fashion hub for you
at the riverside of lekki.
?ni bíi ?kàn mi, please help
patch my broken ribs.
Àdùk?´ èmi ?w?n
When we've a daughter, we'll
name her Ar?`wà èkó (Lagos)
With your hands on her hair,
beautifulness will be a course
in the university.
Àdùk?´, dùk?´,
Shake those beads on your waist
for me and let's dance to Àpàlà
like sány?`rì ?`k?là.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
WHERE DO I GO?
My trails, worn by travails
I was born in a cornerstone
close to the rail.
I grew up not missing the
dances in the rain.
For my navel home wasn't
inline with the terrace
The sun and rain, all starts
and fades in my face
Still,
I was in no race
Had no experience of a meal
Lived on crumbs of any means
All i have was thin, no thick
The writings on the walls
Salvaged me through the
pronunciation of words
Suddenly!!!!
It was war
The rights of the cutlass was
usurped by the swords
All my beloved are gone
Now, where do I go?
My aliveness is iffy
On my skin are plenty of
blotches
Where do I go, my shadow
soaked with jinxes.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
You waved goodbye with a
smile,
I couldn't argue because it
was at the hour of the night.
But I heard the screeching
of birds,
Still I couldn't sense its message,
it was too parabolic.
Would you wake up, I'm
calling your phone.
The sun is up,
It kissed my cheeks but I missed
your hug on my chest.
Can't you just get up and say
hi to mom?
Please God, can I share a bit
of my breath?
I need some seconds to
talk to Mr Death.
Our memories will never fade
They say death is an obligation,
Who are we to blame?
I miss you, who'll play with
me the football games?
I wish I could stop the tears but
pretence I can't make cause;
"I'M IN PAIN"

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
I LOVE YOU
In the days of the sun and in the rain,
"I'll be your shade that never fades"
In the days of tears and pain,
"I promise to forever stay"
If you ask me ;
What about old age?
I'll say;
I'm not here only for today,
I'll be with you till death gives
us a taste.
And anytime you're down,
Just look at your right,
I'll be found.
In the morning and in the
night I'll be your guard.
But please don't give my love
confession a doubt.
I love you,
you all I'm concerned about.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
Our bones were once strong,
Our blow was once a punch,
Our teeth's were once healthy
to munch,
Our skin didn't wrinkle in a twinkle
We didn't become old, we grew old.
We were once young,
We were once
"The beautiful and the handsome"
But for this century I don't know
what love has become.
You'll give your all and get
nothing in return.
I met your father back in 1960
during the month of November,
That moment is one to forever
remember
He was charming, wearing a
smile with his cowboy's hat.
That time he couldn't afford a bike
But then 'True Love' was worth
more than fancy cars.
He steps closer and said;
You're the most beautiful woman
I've ever seen,
Those words took my heart
to places its never been.
We were once young,
Truth be told, true love never
get old.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
HOW DO I GIVE?
Must I eat in halves to make
a life live?
Or must I starve to give a
breath?
Tell me!!
What if I've got just one jean
How do I give what I still
need?
How do I give?
If I say I don't have,would
they believe?
Don't judge me I'm not mean
Maybe you teach me!
Or I ask Him,the giver of all gifts
How do I give?
Heaven was given its earth
Adam was given his eve
Honey was given its Bee
So everyone was given what
they'll eat even before birth
Dear God, Teach me how to
give
Even if its just a tip
I want to be a friend to
Humanity
Those that don't have,I want
to give them my halves
If giving is a crime, then I
want to be sentenced for life.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
NOT ASHAMED TO BEG
On my left, there is a
pantomime.
On my right are those things
I wish I had,
But are never mine.
Please give me food, they'll
give me ounce
Sometimes, they give none
They'll say,
Don't come tomorrow else
you'll be bounced.
If begging is not a sin
I'm not ashamed to beg
If begging won't make me marry
the Obama's kin
Still, I'm not ashamed to beg
See me,not as a beggar but
a man wealth hasn't seen.
On my breath, thee placed an
embargo.
Else,
I would've traded with a cargo
I've got no money, even God knows
I'm hungry,you can easily see
my nine bones.
When I Beg,
Please show me some love
and help
Don't give to me those
gestures of despair.
I'm not proud to beg,just don't
want to steal to make a earn
Not ashamed to beg,please
cleanse my tear.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
I love your eyes,
It makes me forget "Love is blind".
When the stars sparkles in the sky,
"I see you".
Even when the sun shines,
"It reminds me of your smile"
Forever its gonna be you and i.
Hop in, let's give our love a ride.
You're the most beautiful among all creatures,
Even the Angels bows at your
feet to tap from your nature.
God is great, he made you a perfect creation,
You're the best thing that
could happen to a generation.
Being with you reminds me of
only one thing,
That love is real when
its meant to be.

Damilola Muyideen Olajire Poem
AJALA THE TRAVELLER
My name is Ajala
Not Ajala Jalingo but Ajala
the Traveler!
My Aduke will say, Ajala
Ololufeemi Alarinka
You love moving from one
place to another.
But I don't bother.
My footprints,known to the
poor and the rich
I've been to every planet on
earth
Even when I sleep with no
food to eat
Just tell me a town that has
just been birth
With my little cowries, I'll
gather and visit.
The kids will sing, Ajala!
Ajala! Alarinka...
I'll wiggle and dance to the
tune of their local guitar
Maybe with them I'd go visit
Jupiter
Spending our nights on the
water.
That's the life of a traveler.
My name is Ajala
The Son of Mulika aya Isiaka
Mother wants me to be a
Police Officer
But I'm a friend to all
continents, I'm African
Kids; sing my song, Ajala!
Ajala! Alarinka.
