Depression

There isn't any injury, there isn't any blood
But in my head I'm suffering, not doing things I should
Every day routine is such a heavy burden
I go to bed and can't get up, my pillows always sodden
A friendly face will ask me "how are you today?"
And deep down within me I scream " just go away"
You see, the pain is in my head, it just won't go away
The demons deep inside there every single day
I go to bed at night time to settle down and rest
And just like a horror movie, the demons are at their best
Nobody would miss me and I could end this pain
Then I wake up in the morning and it all starts off again
I'm sinking ever deeper, please lower down your hand
Please throw me down a lifeline, help me to understand
Am I worthy of this world? I have no more to give
Please offer understanding, give me a chance to live
Be patient, give me time, just be there when I'm in need
And next time when you turn around you'll know that I've been freed
Thank you for your caring and just for being there
I'm conquering my demons just because you cared.

The Rainbow

A humid storm is looming and I'm feeling rather heady
We rush inside and close the doors, for the down pour we are ready
We watch from windows up above, the puddles forming fast
Huge raindrops just like pearls are falling down at last
The sky is looking clearer and the air is clearer too
Just look yonder there's a rainbow in the sky that's turning blue
It's a beauty in the sky when the sunshine follows rain
Reflecting like a prism on your rain soaked window pane
It's only there for seconds but it takes my breath away
The beauty of that rainbow will return another day .

African Girl

I'm walking miles for water
I drag my aching feet
There's no shelter or escape
From this torturous , scorching heat
My ewer I hold balanced
Upon my tiny head
I dream of cool ,clean water
And the thought of being fed
My siblings cry with hunger
There's sores upon their eyes
The stench is all around us
and it's drawing all the flies
How can we all continue
Through this unbelievable strife
I feel there is no ending
To this they call a life .

Evening Sky

The beauty in the sky at night
Is not only a shepherds delight
The amazing scene across the sky
Taking the breath of you and I
Pretty pink reds and gold
The colours change as the clouds unfold
Just like ploughed fields the patterns form
Preparing for a brand new dawn.

The Human Form

The living human body is such a complex form
An amazing manifestation from the day that it was born
The shell is but a framework, with each one so unique
We strive for something better, its perfection we all seek
Look deep within this framework though, for its here the good will start
The beauty you find buried there, is here within the heart,
Be rid of fear within you,and those that do not care .
Only then will life start changing, your heart within you there.
Seek out the love within you, for the good that you can share,
Hold out your hands and share a smile, show people that you care.
Suddenly your being will take on a different form,
You'll find YOU within yourself,as you were when you were born .

Wear Your Story Well

Just like the rings on the tree
That mark the passing of years
The lines upon the human face
Reflect the laughter and tears
From a sapling small to a full grown oak
The weather it's taken it's toll
But there's nothing nicer in a forest of green
Than taking a leisurely stroll
So here's what I'm saying,
when you look at the face
Those lines have a story to tell
Be proud,enjoy life,laughter and tears
And wear your Story well .

My Vision

I have this wondrous Vision that the world could live in peace,
The fighting and the bloodshed would finally all cease,
World leaders and ambassadors would get along together,
We'd live in peace and harmony hand in hand forever,
It's like that in the spirit world, that's how it should be here too
No anger, hurt or malicious tongue, just peace for me and you.
So let us band good spirited people, let us all unite,
We'll send our prayers around the world, to make our future bright .
