African Girl
I'm walking miles for water
I drag my aching feet
There's no shelter or escape
From this torturous , scorching heat
My ewer I hold balanced
Upon my tiny head
I dream of cool ,clean water
And the thought of being fed
My siblings cry with hunger
There's sores upon their eyes
The stench is all around us
and it's drawing all the flies
How can we all continue
Through this unbelievable strife
I feel there is no ending
To this they call a life .
