Dear Shepherd

Feeling uneasy as I let myself graze,
On the mountains I'd anxiously gaze.
The shrubs are long enough to indulge the creepers
And I dread the wicked hunters
Dear shepherd, where hast thou gone
Let me not be preyed on
Has thou fallen asleep?
Do you not dream of your troubled sheep?
I cannot parry their sharp claws
Nor repel their heavy paws
I'd never see the bullets coming
Nor the crawlers stalking
I thought you'd be my David
Like you swore and promised
That you'd slay the hunting lions
And lead me through the wolves' canyon
Hast thou left me for throne of kingship?
Art thou tired of my companionship?
Do not neglect the caws in the sky
Nor ignore my bleat, it's a cry.
Tho' I'm safe yet
I could already be a target,
For my age is still young
And those carnivores are just too strong
For me to run farther and faster enough
And evade the hiding wolf.

   So dear shepherd
Come rescue me from my foe
   Grab thy bow and arrow
Thou art my only hero I know
   Come save my haunted soul
   My dear shepherd.

I Asked For a Butterfly

I ASKED FOR A BUTTERFLY.

I asked for a butterfly,
But I got a dragon.
I chose you so we could fly high,
But I was left to walk alone.
I saw an extreme beauty,
But couldn't look beyond the disguise.
I gave my full loyalty,
But I got heavy parcels of lies.

   I remember I was forewarned
But I was too far a strayed hound,
Lost too deep in the woods
And my guardians had exhausted their whistle
Now I'm thorn torn and all wound.

I deserve all your love in full,
But I never got half.
I cultivated a life meant to be beautiful,
But you razed my hope to smile and laugh.
I fell for your complexion of ripe orange,
But you tasted like vinegar and lime.
I'd wanted freedom without range,
But with you, I've only served time.

They say every mistake is a lesson
Next time I'll sit in a garden
Hold a rose upon my shoulder
Till a worthy butterfly perches on my shoulder.

Rhyme With You

Searched for words to fit the lines
Ruffled papers a thousand times
I do not agree it's a writer's block
I'd go out to take a break
Took naps, and again set to continue
Yet could not think of what rhymes with you.

You're like a rose, a princess?
But roses have thorns, the latter priceless.
They say you're pretty,
I say you're charming, aphrodite of the city
All be it true
But they only less rhyme with you.

Your feet trails with compliments
They have wooed you in all love's accent
But lies and lust echos in their words
I only want to be worthy of your world
Sing you songs so blue
And hope I ryhme with you.

A Lanterns Thought

In the hours of the evil colour,
When the sun has turn its back,
When that far away fluorescent circle is not enough to see yourself,
When everywhere looks like when it has never been,
Then my use again becomes of need
Perfect relief when you open that closet,
Sweet sensation when you open my heart,
Good feeling when I'm lit up and I become your companion again.
Hey friend, I've waited so long,
You sitting on the chair and I on the desk before you,
Don't you miss holding me up,
To see what just your eyes wouldn't see?
Don't you love when you found the body ornament you seek, when I've shared you my light?
I sooth you with warmth in the cold
The beautiful shadows I cast on the wall, they can never exaggerate how perfect you're built.
Tho thine eyes beholds it not, believe me,
My dark smoke goes up there, conjures a genie
Granting some of your wishes.
Too bad, it can't grant it all
Cos someday my use may get obsolete to you,
While you get a better alternative,
And cast me away.

My lord, forever do I want the bright little fire in my heart to dance,
Dance for you even till the day.
I always wished, I could stay near you,
Watch you read, watch you sleep.
When I burn out, will you pour me inspiration?
Will you clean me?
Will you caress me in gratitude when you've got the cap?
Will you whisper to me job well done?
I'll love you to watch when my fire dance for you,
When it forms the love shape,
Will you let it amuse and inspire you.
The fire in my heart burns for you.
I am your muse, your *lantern* .

Out of My Mind

*_OUT OF MY MIND_*

I was doing fine
Maybe not fine enough.
I was thinking straight
Maybe not always right.
Until a strange breeze blew into the chambers of my heart,
Soothed my hardened heart to timidness
Caressed my bitter self to sweetness
I used to be a devouring lion
In no time had i become a timid lamb
Just when you came in.
Never noticed the wands in your tiny fingers
Couldn't observe the hidden wings at your back
How couldn't I see the star dust on your trail
I had always thought fairies were void in size
But yours, I can't fathom

  NO! I'm not bewitched
I'm just a little bit or so much _out of my mind_
YES! I want to be freed
I want a little bit or so much of you _out of my mind_
   Indeed _Out of my mind_!
