Nothing Can Separate Us From Gods Love

Nothing Can Separate Us From God’s Love By Betty Harp Butler There is no mountain high enough, And no valley deep enough To separate us from God‘s love. This Coronavirus is not strong enough To overcome all of us, If we trust in our great God above. God is big enough to bring us through Any trial that we face. When we trust in Him, He is Faithful. He’ll give us the strength, To run Life’s long race. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 KJV Ref: Romans 8:35-39

Our Omnipotent God

Lord, you turned the wheels of the galaxies,
You know what makes the planets spin.
You set the universe in motion,
And yet, you care for mortal man.

By your hands, you set the atoms dancing,
And keep the great currents circling in the sea.
You call all the stars by their names, O Lord,
And yet you care for me.

Lord, you have measured the waters,
In the hollow of your hand.
You make the clouds your chariot,
And yet, you care for mortal man.

You sit upon the circle of the Earth,
And stretch the heavens as a curtain we can see.
You walk on the wings of the wind, O Lord,
And yet, you care for me.

Sisters

A sister is as close
As Mother and Dad.
They share all our memories,
Of the first home we had.

Laughing, and playing house,
Or just going to school-
Ball games, sharing chores,
Or at times disobeying the rules.

New clothes that Mama made,
And quilts on cold winter nights.
Homemade soup and tea cakes,
And lessons by the old lamp light.

Grandma visiting, our sleeping
On quilts laid down on the floor,
Preacher’s coming for Sunday dinners,
And eating till we thought there
Would be no more.

A sister is so special,
You treasure each one.
They are a part of you, always,
Till your time on earth is done.

When I'M Eighty

When I’m eighty…
I will be sweet to everyone.
I’ll think only about positive things.
I’ll smile a lot with my toothless smile,
And I’ll wear emeralds and diamond rings.

I’ll get up late if I want to.
And I’ll eat anything I like.
I’ll watch cowboy movies and play the piano.
I may even buy a bright yellow bike!

When I’m eighty…
I’ll sing a lot-
Celebrating will be a must.
For all too soon I’ll be checking out,
Pushing up daisies in the dust.

Why Do Good Men Die

God has need of a few good men up there in heaven, I suppose,
But sometimes he picks one of the very best, and we wonder why he does.
Is there some heavy duty work up there, that only a strong man can do?
Like fixing the hinges on those gates of pearl, or tuning up a harp or two?
Or…Could he need the trumpets polished for that final blast that’s about due?

It won’t be long til the rapture occurs, maybe they need a choir director up there,
Or maybe an usher to handle the crowd, and show them around heaven on tour.
Streets of gold, walls of jasper, and the River of Life we are told,
The Tree of Life and the throne of God are some of the wonders we’ll behold.

Maybe God needs a few good men up there, around his heavenly throne,
Just to sing his praises throughout the ages, while the years on earth roll on.
Whatever his reason for taking good men, whom to us seem too young to go,
His word assures us that he loves each of us, and his plan is neither too fast or too slow.

When our purpose here is completed, and our journey through life is o’er,
He’ll escort us safely to our heavenly home, and the joys that he has in store.
Time will one day cease as we know it, and eternity will unfold.
One endless eternal day awaits those who reach that city of gold.

God's Plan For You

Roses are Red.
Violets are blue.
God made them that way.
And He made you, too.

He had a perfect plan
As he formed you from clay.
If you will only let Him,
He will help you in His way.

He’ll melt your hardened heart,
And fill it with His Love.
And if your eyes fill with tears,
They too, may be sent from above.

If you will open the door,
He will come into your life.
He’ll fill you with Love and Joy,
And erase all your fear and strife.

He Is God

He said, “Let there be light,”
And then it was done.
He turned on the sun,
And hung the moon and stars out to shine.

He gathered the waters together
To form the ever-changing sea.
He created the universe,
And He made you and me.

He is God…
None other is above Him.
I worship and adore Him,
For He is God.

He made all the flowers,
And He made every tree…
He created the birds and the animals,
And all the fish in the sea.

He formed man from the dust,
And the woman from His side.
On the seventh day he rested…
Earth was ready for man to abide.

He is God…
None other is above Him.
I worship and adore Him,
For He is God!

Just Relax

When life is weighing you down a bit,
Step back and analyze the facts.
Things could be worse, as they say.
So give thanks to God anyway, and just relax.

Trust In God

When you’ve prayed and prayed,
And nothing has changed,
When you’ve asked for God’s help,
And everything is still the same.

Just trust in God, He has heard your prayer.
Believe in Him, He is always there.
He heard you the first time you prayed.
He is still in control, so don’t be afraid.

The Crossing

The time has come for me to go,
I see the chariot near.
The Angels are now coming for me,
What wonderful music I hear!

A heavenly light is shining above,
My Savior’s dear face I see.
He’s bidding me come over to the other side,
Where endless joys are awaiting me.

The trials that I have suffered here,
Will be as nothing then.
I’ll thank God for each one I’ve endured
And for His help in holding out to the end.

A crown is waiting for me there,
And a robe of white I’ll wear.
No more sickness, no pain, and no sad goodbyes,
I’ll never again have a care.

My children, I long to see you again,
And I’ll meet you on that shore,
If you prepare to meet the Savior,
The one whom I adore.

I pray for each of you, my loved ones,
As I leave this earthly shore.
I ask God to save and keep you,
And to reunite us one day at Heaven’s door.

The Master is calling my name now,
He’s telling me all is well.
I have fought a good fight,
I have kept the faith,
Now they’re ringing those Golden Bells.

Swing low, Sweet chariot,
Angels, come and take me on-
A journey swifter than lightning,
Carry me to my eternal Home.
