Our Sky

Look up to the sky
Until you begin to wonder why

Wonder why we grow, be, then die
All of these answers, up in our sky

Dream and believe that you can fly
One day, further than our sky

Keep your head held up on-high
Keep on smiling, stay focused, don't sigh

Look up to our sky

Fly high

Further than our sky

Nasty Pasty

So I sat downstairs
I tried to eat a pasty

She started screaming and shouting
Really getting quite nasty

Sat there for a minute, tried to let it go in
Now all I wanted to do was put the pasty in the bin

As she carried on giving the verbal abuse
It seemed to me, the only option was a noose

All of this started, it started for a reason
All of it because I had commited high treason

So I stand here today and look at my past
Crystal clear to me now, it was not meant to last

It appears I've been, really quite nasty
From now on in I'll just sit and eat a pasty

To all of the men, there are sirens out there
Don't look in their eyes, don't let them flick their hair

I've a bit of advice, it's entirely upto you
Though it may just stop, your head turning to goo

You could just think that I'm being rather nasty

Trust me, don't think

Just sit and eat your pasty

Selfless Selfie

Is it really hard for us to understand
Most people presume they're snobby or grand

Now in this day and age, we live in
Not nearly enough of us just stop and try giving

How many of us? Offer strangers our hand
Let's be honest, just a few in this concrete land

Why don't we try, with a bit of harder labour
Stretch a bit further out, let's give to thy neighbour

Here are two words I'd like you to think hard about

One is Camera

The other is Pout

Hounding Light

From the egg comes the Prince,
He’s got a long way to go,
He can only become King,
When the Prince has to go

It’s in his darkness that he learns to grow,
From the seed to the tree,
How big can he be?

He looks up, he looks down,
His balance, the middle ground

He must go back to the egg,
To release the hound,
Only then, the King can be found
