Pearl Larson Poem
If I could write you a love song
I’d sing to you all that I feel
I’d pour out my heart in the lyrics
So you know what I’m feeling is real
I’d tell you I think about you every morning
I always wish you were right there
I’d tell you I replay moments in my mind
All the memories that we’ve shared
I’d tell you when I come home from work
I wish I was coming home to you
I’d tell you when I’m falling asleep
I wish you could be there too
But I have to tell you I’m sorry
Because this is the best I can do
I may be a woman without a song
But I can offer all my love to you
If I could write you a love song
I’d start with the day that we met
Because no matter how the song ends
It’s the beginning I’ll never forget

Pearl Larson Poem
I wish the distance wasn’t so far
So I could kiss you every day
I wish I could show you how I feel
Instead I can only say…
I wish could fall asleep in your arms
Feeling you so near
I wish I could wake up every morning
Knowing you were here
I wish to bring you happiness
And spend a lifetime together
I wish to love you with all my heart
And be with you forever
I wish that maybe you feel the same
And wish for these things too
I wish for a time when all my wishes
Have finally come true

Pearl Larson Poem
I am hurt
You broke me again
Look at this mess you left behind
I am predictable
I pick up the pieces again
Just like you knew I would
I am bleeding
The cut is deep again
It’s harder to heal every time
I am scarred
You left your mark again
Now no one else will want me
I am foolish
I missed the signs again
Shame on me.

Pearl Larson Poem
I see a soft glow over the horizon.
The most distant ray shines enough
To paint the forgotten canvas
And fill the empty shadows.
The blossoming radiance
Illuminates my world.
The warmth penetrates my flesh
And embraces my soul.
As heat pulses through my veins,
And my heart beats stronger,
I awaken to a better life.
A new day begins.
