Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,
Words can’t describe how much I miss u, but I suppose you already know.
Because I know you’re watching down on me through these times that move so slow.
This whole thing is so unreal, daddy, I just know that you’re still here
I just wish you would come home, daddy, and make the teardrops disappear
I know you didn’t want us to be sad, you said “remember who I was”
But we are still sad, but we do remember. Trust me, everyone does.
You were the person who stood out in the crowd with your smile shining bright
You were the one who made me laugh and made sure everything was alright
No matter what we did we were having fun and your laugh was absolutely contagious
You always made friends and made everyone happy your personality was just so courageous
It’s impossible not to love you because u are the best; you are the world’s greatest dad
I try not to cry but its so hard daddy, and I think of the good times we had
I remember at sea world when you’d get people wet but you would always have the best time ever
And when I was with my friends you would come in dancing that will stick in my mind forever
You would come to my games and you’d start the wave and cheer us on like no other
You are a one of a kind dad, the only one like you. I just wish that I could have another
Another day with you and another kiss, another “I Love you”, I just want more of this
I want to hear you say “Your daddy loves you sweetie” like you always used to say
Or when I used to wake up really early just so I could hug you every day.
Everyone loves you dad. So much. As they should.
Because you made all of our lives better in ever way that you possibly could.
I know you were happy you had a great life
You had two wonderful children and the world’s greatest wife
You had great friends and family who always have cared
They are all here today daddy, because your life they’ve all shared
I hope you’re listening daddy. I’m almost positive you are
You know I love you so much. You’re my lucky star
Just know we all care for you, all of us do and always will
Though nights we might cry and just let our eyes spill,
We’ll remember the good times; they always were good with you
So thank you for everything dad, this thanks is much overdue
You’ve always been my hero. And now life is such a whirl
But I love u and miss you daddy
                                      Love always,
                                                          Your Baby Girl

Never

The black of the night sky went on forever
The heat from the asphalt was little but strong
I will hear your screams but won’t hold u again… ever
I remember that night and how so much went wrong
It didn’t mean to start speeding, I did not mean to race
But the outcome was bleeding, from your beautiful face
I didn’t mean to scare you; I didn’t mean to make you cry
But then when they couldn’t repair you and said you would die,
I realized I killed you; i'm your murderer, defeat
As I opened my eyes and saw your life on the street
I realized that I had innocent blood on my hands
Your life slipped through my fingers, like little grains of sand
I try to say it was an accident, and it wasn’t my fault
But I was responsible for my best friend’s assault
I was the driver, it was my stupid mistake
I could have slowed down, or stepped foot on the brake
But I kept going faster, and I just didn’t care
I thought I was daring as your screams rang through the air
I never thought this could happen, it is still so unreal
As I slammed on the brakes and heard the tires squeal,
I saw you get whipped, and thrashed all around
Then the car spun out and you did not make a sound
The windshield broke and you had glass in your skin
You just sat there and bled, what I’d done was a sin
I just prayed for a miracle and hoped for a chance
That you would somehow start breathing and give me a glance,
That you would come back to me to be my best friend
We said we’d always be together beginning and end,
But I soon realized that you would never ever come back
And now with you gone, my life is completely off track
I will never forgive myself for what I have done
I lost my best friend; your life had only begun
If I only had listened you would be here right now
I wish I could go back and re-state our vow
Our vow of being best friends for the rest of forever
But now forever has ended… and I’m stuck living in never…

Darling

An open street, an empty night, a slight hum of the wind.
Yet darling is cluttered, and jumbled, and feeling fractured deep within.
The eyes gaze with a smile but turn away with a frown
Such an eloquent style as the pedals fall down.
The dance of the piano, and the hand on your cheek.
Such an eerie cold whisper as your hearts feeling bleak
The air fragranced green and gold and the darling off course.
The water is uncalm and the smile is forced.
The skin changes shades and the warm turns to raw.
This most horrifying scene was the darlings last straw.
The tuberose and lillys create a mood ever sweet.
The tires stop turning but darling cant move her feet.
The crowd starts to murmur uneasy and wait for her face.
Its just so topsy turvy she needs out of this place.
She stands for an hour holding red rose in hand.
She throws it in after him, but does not understand.
She feels angels and demons climbing straight up her back.
For a spot on her shoulder and for vision in black.
She screams and she smiles no one knows how she feels.
Poor darling's a mystery but her story is real.
You'd never know it if you saw her, her rays shining bright.
But deep down sweet sweet darling, she has never been alright.
