Wake Your Weapons

Wake your weapons
When the weary wind fills the way;
Poor pilgrim
Pray and report all your petitions
To the pure and powerful God.

While the sky waters the wide world
And while death’s dew dwells on kings
Bear each other’s burdens,
Bring all the hardships
And let them not break your broken hearts again.
Let not the past ruin your future,
And
Let bygones be bygones.

She Was Called

She was called to face the sight
Of one contented with earthly joy
And in a nearly fainting voice
She said “By my soul I swear,
I cannot come to face your sight
Carrying a sober brow”.

Life

LIFE

Life is just a journey
Yet it differs from the others;
Once begun
You can’t turn back
To start anew.
You only need straightening out
The things you have messed up.

So we should be careful
With it
For we’ll never have
A new beginning
Until we reach the end.

One Day

One day a spirit caught me
It didn’t take me high in the sky
Neither did it take me down to the depths of the earth.
It rather took me to a place called
 “The inside of a spirit”
Ha! Ha! A spirit led a spirit in a soul
Then you know what came next?
I wondered about the gifts I offered those I loved
And all the letters I wrote to the ones on my heart’s frames;
I thought so deeply and deeper did my understanding sink
Then here I came up with this
Why shouldn’t I, why shouldn’t you, just write a short letter to God
And give one of the simplest gifts you could give,
Say how thankful you are for all you have received,
Say you need to be transformed and hate your sin,
Say things you need in life to be happy
And just show him desperate people you wish to see as happy and thankful as you are now…

You see, I’m done with the letter
And the gift I am to give is just my heart.
No wonders!

I know it’s not worth giving to the Lord of lords
But I’m sure that if I gave my sinful and proud heart to those I called friends
They couldn’t help keeping it.
They’d rather consider it a trash
Because it would be of no use to them;
To say, a heart like mine they already possess.
However, it remains a wonder how God would call a feast
Just for my proud heart
For He has loved me with such an enduring love,
He transforms my being and makes me whiter than snow,
Then He uses it to bring other lost souls to Him.
To this, can't we sing ” GLORY TO HIS NAME”?

Wave

Who does ever wave back at the sea waves?
Nay, no one ever works
When the wizard awaits
Why are we then waving back?
We, oh yes, are waving back
But still the bough breaks.

Behind the hills, beneath the holes
I hear the heels along the halls
Running forth, coming forth
For to carry us home.
Only be watchful
Through the storm
That cannot stand still.

Under the Sun

Under the sun
Everybody takes an oath
And if not many times
At least once in a lifetime
But there are many more to take
As long as we are here
If you are not sure which
I will let you know
For we have that fate under our souls
A fate lying at the very foundations of our lives
An oath to take care of our imperfect bodies
For was it not that way,
Who would bother sleep
Wake up, dress up and go to work
Only for a daily meal?

So many more I skipped
For everybody knows
Just when the time comes
For him, for her.
Can I only talk of this one, or,
Should I speak of this one too
Maybe for those who get to experience it?
There’s an oath to love somebody else and care
For many of us, find it reasonable to take care of others,
Were it not an oath, would bother love anymore?

But then, before all that,
There is one biggest oath
That each one of us took
Willingly or not if he would want it;

Here,
Under the sun,
Lies the creation
It is beautiful, all can see
For it, we must take care
To gain our lives
And then, we toil and toil and toil
Seeking survival in this rushing world

This is not an oath, you say
But see:
Ever since the day we came out
From our mother's wombs
I suppose we first looked up and saw the sun
To my wonder, did our necks get tired
And directed our faces down?
I guess yes

From then on, we had to face it all
All that is and happens under the sun
Under the sun, we will stay
Stay until we look down or up again…
Never to turn our eyes
To what happens
Under this yellow sun.

What Were We

What were we?
Trees in the forest,
Whose twigs, when it rains,
Have less chance to brush each other’s greens,
Just for a little while?

Road ends
Which, when all circulation has passed,
Never get a chance to talk,
But just keep staring at one another
Like traveling light?

Like the birds’ wings
Which, when birds stretch
Do not dream of “touch”?

Like an ocean’s ends,
Which stare at the same moves
But never talk about it?

Too close but never near one another
Isn’t that strange?
What is the suspect here?
Will it keep going like this?
I just made my own move
And I’ll stay right behind you
If I want to move forward.
And you know what,
You’ll see me,
Because I will not make myself visible to your eyes.

That’s it, now what next?
Happy with it?

Silence

SILENCE

If it is right for a man
To tell the truth to the world
Then I’ll attempt to talk
And dare to see another’s
Point of view;

But if it is not that way
Then I’ll remain as if dumb
Because, to be honest,
I think my silence means a lot
And nobody can make it out.

There's a Spirit

Whatever makes me wish I were dead
And rose again without this nature?

Is it tormenting, troubling
Is it obliging things I can’t do?
Does it forbid things I could do?

Surely, there must be a spirit
That makes me do things
I’d never think of doing.
And there’s one too
That stops me from doing
Whatever deed that grasps my mind.

That’s not because I’m the wisest of men
I seemingly act foolish though,
Yet the owner of this heart I call mine
Knows the reason why.

 Should I be frightened of
whatever the storm fills
the sea of my longing life?

Sky

Here in my room
Lying on my bed
With the windows closed
But curtains open,
So I can clearly see
I can see the sky without any distractions
Such as the sunlight that kills the eyes.

The sky is blue, really blue
But one part is dark blue
While the other remains light blue.
I keep staring at that sky
And there are white clouds too.
Forcing my gaze into those clouds,
One part is pure white
And still the other is gray
I keep wondering why that is so
But finally, come up with a sense.

It is a sense you may not call common,
But a true belief to me.
The world has ups and downs
Yes, the good and the bad
Must both be part of us.
The positive things in life
Are the light blue sky, and white clouds
And the negative ones are
the dark blue sky, and gray clouds.

As you go on through every situation
Remember that the dark and white clouds,
The sky has them both
And those white and gray clouds,
The sun warmly shines through.
The moon also beams its light through them,
And at times, when God commands
The rain comes from above
From those clouds in the sky
To bless our lands.
