Revolution

When the air that we breathe becomes air we choke,
and the fires burn and consume all of our hope,
in the tears of anguish a nation will soak,
no longer could we the people hear the pope.
The skies will burn an angry crimson
and the corrupt will pay their dues,
pay for their crimes of atrocity and treason
with their lives as the revolution ensues.
But sometime in the future new problems will arise
with more people oppressed in all new ways,
cutting people down to their appropriate size,
all the way to the end of man's days.
In the cycle of humanity all will end in blood,
one day welling up in a world ending flood.

The Still of the Night

As dusk overcame the small castle town
two rivals prepared for a grand finale fight,
the warriors won’t quit the fight ‘til one is down,
so off they rode into the still of the night.
The horse’s hooves clapped against the cold cobblestone
and the shrill sound of steel being drawn rang out,
in the distance a pair of crows had flown,
came to watch the men in their ‘bout.
There in the town square the dance of death began,
metal on metal sound sang out into the otherwise still air,
each mortal trying desperately to honor their clan
but the heroes could not tell the outcome of their affair.
The two swung at each other for what felt like an eternity,
neither gained any ground nor lost their grasp,
they both landed a fatal blow at once and they prayed to the Trinity,
they prayed together for the first time as they took their last gasp.

Untitled

The sun shines brilliantly on your locks of gold,
the light gently laps at your skin
and seems to erase all of your sin,
but yet your skin is oh so icy cold.
Your heart is now still, but once was bold,
your soul departs to a beautiful garden of zen
leaving behind on this earth your kin,
but was this the fortune that fate told?
Although you have left us here
we know you are in a better place
where you can live without fear
and walk with the upmost grace,
while the wheel of time continues to steer
us all to our one way trip to deep space.
