Banana Bread

Today my husband said ' I can really go for some banana bread'
But this is what I made instead.

A gallon of Sweet Tea.
A bowl of Green Pea's.
Turkey Club on whole wheat followed by Smoked Meat.
Corn on the Cob along with Broccoli Raab.
Chicken Wings. Shoe Strings.
Pineapple upside down cake. A chocolate Shake.
Baked Potato served with a Stuffed Tomato

Now my husband has a belly ache.
I don't think he likes it, when I bake.

Fuhgeddaboudit

On a bright day
I will be
Grabbing a drink at the bar
Brighton Beach, it seems so far
Coney Island is where you'll find me
Sideshows and Hotdogs
Where I need to be.

Ppb

Please be kind you see, as the world is not what it seems to be.

Please be patient with me, as my persona is not who you will always see.

Be faithful and true and love will always undoubtedly find you.

Adapting, For Adult Contest

Growing up is not at all what it seems.

You have to be at work early and keep a strict routine.

No summer break, running through the sprinklers or first kisses at the lake.

Everything is now either a make or a break.

You now have a job, a spouse and dinner to make, kids to bath and meetings to partake.

With dinner burning in the oven, I reminisce of what used to be, a completely different version...a younger, more carefree me.

Sneaking out of the house, smoking weed headed to parties on the beach. Always laying around contemplating "what life will bring"

Now it's dinner time, and I think of how life has completely changed once I was given an engagement ring.

Karma

Tell you what it is

I do not know

How can we all believe in something we can not see?

Life is just as real as our sins.

We play a game, day in, day out.

All we can do is smile and try not to pout.

We can all get through this life together you see, paying it forward so we can just let your god be.

He can keep his day of rest as I will work on cleaning my own mess.

The sins I have made.

I will make amends and work on regaining back all my lost and lonely friends.

Father you've blown your head off
You left us for good
You daddy were nothing but misunderstood

I don't remember your funeral
or that time we went fishing
All I do is sit here, crying and wishing

Wishing this was different and you haven't gone away.

I don't remember our last Christmas
Or the last words we shared
Although somehow through all of this, I somehow wish I still cared.
