Candice Braman Poem
A droplet falls to my lips, quaking in the cold.
I feel the world crying now, the sky’s so still, on hold.
It’s like our lips, were meant to touch.
And your hands, were meant for mine.
Trembling in the darkest night,
I feel our dreams entwine.
So keep me warm, with tender words.
Explore my aching mind.
Give me your…
Elusive touch…
Two frozen hearts in time.

Candice Braman Poem
You’ve only asked me for my heart
And time and time I fail
But giving in would change my world
My days would be derailed
I’ve searched for ways to come to truce
With my brittle heart’s demise
Yet time and time I fail to see
My truth was based on lies
I’ve taught myself to stand alone
And love is lust disguised
That strength can only come to me
If I keep my love inside
But you held on tight to what is yours
And changed my jaded mind
You showed me love I never knew
And let me take my time
You let me scream, you let me cry
You’ve made me realize
You’ve let me drown you in my pain
Then still wake into your eyes
So say no more I’m yours to keep
I’ve given up this fight
You’ve showed me love I can’t deny
I’m letting go tonight
