I Was Raised On a Little Old Farm

I was raised on a little old farm

by my daddy who raised pigs in a barn

my mama well what can I say

she helped my daddy on our farm everyday.

I have two sister and two brothers

we tried to always help out one other

it was just a simple life when I was raised in the 50s.

I was raised on a little old farm

we plowed our corn fields with our old gray tractor.

because our pigs had to be feed

we shucked off lots of corn

to put way in old corn shed.

As hard as my daddy worked everyday

mama and him taught us good

values that still stays with all of this

to this day.

I was raised on a little old farm

my daddy worked as a Iron worker in the day

but on some days after daddy got home

he worked and added rooms to our old home.

Money was tight while raising 5 kids

but mama always seem to keep us all fed.

But we knew everyday mama and daddy loved us even if the

words[ I love you] was not offen said.

I was raised on a little old farm

in the winter we took time to ice skate

in the back field on a swampy like pond.

it was great living on a long dirt road

with our neighbors the Boggs who had

seven children of there own.

I was raised on a little old farm

and I am going to try to tell daddy story's

about or farm life to each grandchild in the

family that is born.

I hope you enjoyed this poem

because soon we well be selling

our childhood home.

I was raised on a little old farm.

Scammers On Line

Once upon a time

there was a person

of a poetry company

that scammed people

all the time.

No one was left out

like old and young men and women

who dreamed of being the best poet

of all time.

But they did not know there was

scammers on the computer line.

Many people of all nations

believed there poem was the best

no matter how it rhymed .

This poetry company said [ you and you

and you write the best.

All you have to do is send in a little money

and we will place this fantastic poem

in one of our published poetry books.

The person of this company smiled and laughed and thought

oh [this person will send the money]

and that all it took. lol

Once upon a time

do not believe everything you read,

because it will save you a lot of money and

your valuable time.

Life Is Like a Maypole

Life is you and me

holding hands

while the earth go's around

each of us you see.

life is like a maypole

if we are strong at heart

with family or friends

we always stick together

until the very end.

life is like a maypole

a simple smile will do

to get each of us through.

life is you and me

no matter what your problem is

don't let go,

just go with God flow-- because

life is like a maypole

A Mother Ears

A mother ears

hears her baby cry

A mother ears

hears a tear drop from

her child eye

A mother ears

hears her toddles fall

she places a bandages

that seem to heal all,

A mother ears

hear and feels her teenagers pain

after a break up with her boyfriend

the daughter thought

her life would never be the same.

A mother ears

hears he death of her unborn child

after carrying him for 9 months

she ask why God did her baby

only live a short while.

A mothers ears

Don'T Judge Me

Don't judge me

by the credit card I carry

or my choice of fruit I

eat like blackberry's.

Don't judge me

by the car I drive

or how many pictures I take

for god sakes .

Don't judge me

for the clothes I wear

or if I cry to much

and if I don't keep in touch.

Don't judge me

for the bright eye glasses

I choose to wear

or my painted black toe nails

because at the end of the day

I just don't care.

Don't judge me

because I love the Lord

and attend church

and you say I talk to much

just leave me alone

I am in my own home.

Don't judge me

how I bite my nails or

sniff my nose

because your not me

so walk away please.

Don't judge me

I Need To Tell You

I need to tell you

my story

it about my life

how I was some one wife.

I need to tell you

my story

how my husband many

years ago died

and It was upsetting and I cried

I need to tell you

my story

how I left my home in PA.

and it really hurt to move away.

I need to tell you

my story

how I became a care taker

of my mother none other.

I need to tell you

my story

about my second life

that I take a lot of pride.

I need to tell you

my story

how I watched my mom suffer

but still had to make time to

make her supper.

I need to tell you

my story

how sometimes I felt powerless

but just a simple kiss

gave me strength from my mothers lips.

I need to tell you

my story

about my life

how in 30 year's time I went from

being some man wife

to being a care taker to my mother

how does this happen?

I just needed to tell you

my story.

A Easter Tail,,,,, 2015

once upon a time

on Easter Eve

while it was not just dark yet

I saw something out my front window

at the corner of my eye

to my surprise

it was a big fluffy white Easter bunny

hopping up my long drive.

oh wow" I said "

as I watched 5 baby bunny's

hopping way a head

placing different colored eggs

here and there

in my front yard.

As I smiled to my self

and thought if I could take a picture

because no one will believe me ,

that the Easter bunny here sitting under

my big black walnut tree.

it was not long before all 6 of the bunny's

was gone

in a blink of a eye

but to my surprised

The bigger fluffy white bunny placed a

tall cross in front my yard.

Once upon a time

people started telling children a

Easter story of all time

but it was really about God as the Bible

said

Jesus rose for our sins

even though people thought he had dead.

At that cross I fell on my knees that the

bunny left for me ,

I weep' and asked God to forgive my sins

as more tears rolled down and fell

off my chin.

See what God can do?

God always there for all of us

but in him you must put your trust.

So I hope you enjoyed this Easter time tail

because I am not sure I told it very well? lol

There Was a Time

There was a time
I woke up and decided
to have a cup of coffee
just to unwind
I made some toast
with a dippy egg
but in my mind
a dounut would speed up the
relaxing time
mmmm if only I could
but I know doctor Oz
says for us it not good
maybe this coffee will work
or should I have Tea instead
Oh Doctor Oz what should I do
listen to your heart
Oz says
sweets are no good for you
oh ok what ever you say
any ways no matter what
Doctor Oz says
I am going to do it my way.
so I popped open the box
and picked out a jelly one
I thought oh
Doctor Oz said no no son
but it tasted so good
as I swallowed it down,
now a cup of coffee will do
Doctor OZ now
shew

This Sweet, Sweet Land

I hold you in my hand

this sweet, sweet land

I breath in the fresh air

with out thinking and who

out there really cares.

My sweet, sweet land.

I smell the sharp scents

from a lilac bush

sitting close by my bench.

I love to take walk in the woods

it the only place I feel most understood.

I fish from your waters in a near by river

as if the fish knew that I would.

I hold you in my hands

this sweet, sweet land

as I rub this black dirt between my hands

this feeling is better than the love of a man.

I watch the birds nesting in the tallest trees

on this earth that God left you and me.

it fill me up to no end ,

this sweet, sweet land

My Thoughts On Mendysue Death

We think about you everyday

we see you in some ones smile or wave

we see you in our photography's

it make us miss your smile and laugh.

We stop and think your death not real

I try real hard to smell your smell

I try to think how your skin did feel

Your death still don't feel really real.

we comfort each other night and day

in hopes are grief will go away.

But then here goes those feelings

all over again.

Your life with us will never end

you will stay right here in our minds and hearts ,

your memory's from us will never depart.

These are just thoughts I am having of you.

I just really love and miss you,

I am just saying your death for me

was really hard to get through
