This Sweet, Sweet Land

I hold you in my hand

this sweet, sweet land

I breath in the fresh air

with out thinking and who

out there really cares.

My sweet, sweet land.

I smell the sharp scents

from a lilac bush

sitting close by my bench.

I love to take walk in the woods

it the only place I feel most understood.

I fish from your waters in a near by river

as if the fish knew that I would.

I hold you in my hands

this sweet, sweet land

as I rub this black dirt between my hands

this feeling is better than the love of a man.

I watch the birds nesting in the tallest trees

on this earth that God left you and me.

it fill me up to no end ,

this sweet, sweet land
