My Friend Has Gone

My friend has gone
this time, faraway alone
Sadly
nothing has changed
the moon still dangles on space
waves break with foamy faces
rain drops on green pallet
the robin gorges on strewn millet

But why does my heart ache?
an emptiness resides in silence
sometimes I murmur with no spell
Life goes on, they all say
but it's hard to digest
My friend, I won't see you again
an anguish, a morbid pain!
But you will be in my memory
in my mind, till my journey ends
So long! be tranquil and get rest.

Super Bowl Day

Patriots and Seahawks, today head to head
Will wear the helmets; tooth and nail fight the day
University of Phoenix stadium, the beautiful Grand Canyon state
Sweat and blood will spill on cactus bed.

Hard training, pain, dedication and rivalry
Let it end today in guts, honor and glory.

“The Star- spangled Banner”, the sweet little song
That’s the way to start the game on
The Red, White and Blue, waving in the air
Jet planes stripe the sky in white smoky flair.

It is half time show; Katy Perry will soothe the ear
Lenny Kravitz will tear up our fear.

Time to have a drink baby
Cold beer, pinot noir or tequila savory
Let’s dive deep in some dips
Velveeta, salsa and tortilla chips.

Enjoy the platter of, hot wings, blue cheese and dill mayonnaise
Add some green olives, carrots and crunchy celeries.

Slices of pizza or meaty tacos, gasp my sigh
A bowl of chili, or even a chicken leg fry
Everything will go just fine
When we are all football high.

Forget all work, qualms and quarks
Keep your whining and politics inside the drawers
Let’s all watch the Super Bowl on this Sunday
And hold dear a simple pleasure in truly American way.

Forgiveness, In Memory of the Victims of Charleston Church Shooting

It was an altar of prayer
but God didn't rise
evil entered the house in a noble disguise.
Bullets were strewn
sanity was killed
bodies fell as corpses
blood did spill.
And hatred had the victory
on that grisly day, it seemed.

It was pain, agony and cry
they felt in their mind and hearts, they were the kin
of the happy churchgoers.
"I forgive you" those words they uttered
time and time
the evil stood in silence and just smiled.
People made a human chain
and prayed
and it was not revenge that struck the deal
but forgiveness that prevailed.
Love had its last smile
and it triumphed at the end.

So Long

In your loss
the blazing sun is paprika red
the sky turns pale blue in sadness
the Danube is flowing calm
absorbing anger of that bursting sun
Standing next to the wooden cascade
I sense an aura of your essence
You travelled place to place,
snowy mountain high to
shallow river bay
Here your journey ends
in an august summer day
in heart of Budapest

It's hard to consent
no more you will open the door
and merrily say
"How are you today?"
My eyes tear and heart pains
I want to cry out loud
but I fall short in breath

Hey wayfarer
now you are set free
Time to take a voyage to eternity,
and find peace forever
with divine grace
in a realm of time and space
We have your blessing
and that is our only solace.

Refugee

I had a hut
on the bank of the river
beneath the sky painted blue
no patch of sorrow
only the berry hue.
The willow tree shreds
its barks, the birds circle
with their wings flung
I could see the sun
piercing through the wings.
I used to collect

Apples
from the bottom of the apple trees
I was happy, I was tranquil
but I didn't know their true meanings .

Until
one day invaders came
destroyed my hut, my habitat
since then I have been roaming
down the history lanes,
all over I could even imagine.
I am ever homeless, I am a human refugee,
my journey is forever, and my story has no ends.

Melodies of Sorrows

Over the chain bridge
shadow overlays the light
Danube is lazing underneath
silence is drifting in fright
You are standing on your tiring feet
An eerie feeling hovers over your skin
pathos pales the face
pain mists the eyes
The eyes, watery deep and swollen
are roaming over the night sky,
You are longing for your loved one
suddenly to stop by
Forced smiles sadden the moist air
no joy, no happiness
a cheerless affair
I wish I could comfort you
kiss your nifty lips,
play with your silken hair,
and breaking the surface of sufferings
scoop out your agony and its tears.

Lost In Time

Gone by, so many moments
so many nights and days
Lost in time, those dreamy eyes,
playful smile and the innocent face
First love, first kiss and the heartbreak
a soft wind blew and wafted it away
Bohemian friends, stories to tell
just waved goodbye and left partway.

Devil's Bride

You were standing on the beach alone
Sky was fading, blurring into night shadows
Wearing a white wedding dress
You waited with a bouquet of ruby red roses
The moon is glowing now, budding into a full moon
Pouring its molten silver on the ocean and on you
The devil comes, and here comes his darling raven
Out of shattered waves, out of dark that swollen

He kisses your leafy lips and embraces
Sanctifies you and deflowers your innocence
You became devil's bride, you are lying
In rose stained blood , celestial naked
The fiend has set you free from spasm and pain
Of your wildflowers' days
You feel flying like a shooting star
To deep black, far, far away, far

Snowman

That ugly man is
thrusting his mom back and forth
Mama is panting high and low
her eyes float on filmy watery slides
Is she crying in pain or joy?
but fear makes her son coy
It's suffocating inside the house
outside, it's is a cold winter burdened by pale white ice
The boy doesn't care
his tiny cat even disappears
He flings open the door
gusty wind blows his hat down on the snowy floor
The snowman is still standing , breathing in cold air
smiling, and with his carrot nose sniffs boy's despair
Happiness returns, the boy grins
his father faded face sadly shines
he hugs the snowman and tears
he mumbles and murmurs
If you can, please linger
for few more months hey dear winter.

The Land of Fire and Ice

Through your eyes
take me to the land of fire and ice
Where deep blue heavens
blanket the black sand beach
Moss on rocks grows velvet- nice
The pearly ocean touches the shore,
waves the volcano not to rise
Where trolls stroll in lush green woods
Misty cascades flow to entice
There travelers wonder at reindeers
Puffins wing and swing in the sky
Through your eyes, baby
take me to the land of fire and ice.
