Locked In

I look outside the window,
and I hear the sparrows' songs.
I listen to nature's harmony,
and I tell myself, "be strong."

As I miss all of spring's beauty,
like a little bird homebound.
As I keep strictly my duty,
staying safe and sound.

My Wish List

At night, this is when I start dreaming,
dreaming of things hardly likely to exist.
I think of a world different from ours,
I'll give my dream world breath-taking powers:
All people will live a life of ease,
we won't know the meaning of the word disease,
there will be no darkness in people's minds
and bad thoughts will be left behind;
Can't help longing for unceasing youth,
cause I'm afraid of the death-this is the truth;
If no one of us ever gets old
we'll never lose the ones we love
and we'll always have their hands to hold.
I wonder if my fantasy can become real,
only then my heart will heal-
heal from the fear of this imperfect life.
Maybe if I pray harder for my wish
God will do everything right.
Until then I'll keep dreaming every night.

I Am Bulgarian

I am Bulgarian,
but wait, I am not proud at all.
Your voice is never heard in here
because ignoring is our law.

Gypsies, addicts and psychopats
walk aroung each day.
Eternal Halloween hangs over us,
how would I want to stay?

You could be stabbed for 50 bucks
while walking down the street.
The villain will be briefly detained
then free again to terrorize and cheat.

If you happen to be dying
I'm sorry, you're screwed, my mate -
The ambulance will come for sure,
but often a little too late.

Our rulers are filthy coward rats
who live at our expense.
We suffer and wonder every day
how their acts make no frigging sense.

Am I making a bad reclame?
Well, I don't really care.
If a miracle happens and things get better,
I'll be more than happy to share.

Our people leave one by one
and nothing changes as days go by.
I am Bulgarian and I am puzzled -
should I laugh or cry?

PS: I may be rebelling, but this doesn't mean I hate my country. It is a beautiful land and everyone is welcome here. Peace, xxx

Forever In My Heart

Are you the glowing little star on the sky at night?
Or are you the brighter one there on the right?
Maybe you are a floating cloud going on its journey.
Whatever you are now and wherever you are
You will always be in my heart, never leaving anywhere far.

So this poem I wrote when I was 11-12 in my native language about my grandpa, who passed away. Now I decided to translate it in English and see how it will sound.
Hope you like it.

Hello, December

Hello, December,
I will always remember
The love and the fear
I changed through the year.

Hello, December,
I will always remember
The bad and the good,
How I did what I could.

Hello, December,
I will always remember
The hills and the vales
I passed through too frail.

Hello, December,
I will always remember
The gifts and the snow
I cherish more as I grow.

Today

Today I woke up, but you were not here,
Today i called you, but no one answered me.
I said I am sorry for what I did
I was too lonely my dear..
Today I went out, but there is no air to breathe,
Today I asked myself what I really need.
What I need is only you, my dear -
The one that makes my heart live.
Today I saw you only in my mind again,
Today I am so misled by my brain.
Only madness is my company
I need you, dear, but you don't see..

To My Beloved One

You came when I silently called you.
After our first meet I loved you.
Then a second and a third followed...
You stayed and so my heart you borrowed.

I pray my days you'll warmly embrace.
I pray I'll wake up seeing your face.
The feelings we share can't be erased.
Time can never sweep up our place.

I chose your kind love to be all mine.
I chose you to be my Valentine.

December Comes Around

As cold as it sounds
December always comes around.
Each year after all the leaves had fallen down,
December arrives and puts on its crown.
Just as we yearn for a winter fairy-tale,
The sky drops the very first snowflake.
The lights and tree on Christmas eve
Revive Magic as if it is real.
Magic is what warms us inside,
Magic is our most faithful guide.
Our dreams and hopes come also alive
During this magical month until it says "Goodbye.".
As cold as it sounds
December always comes around.

Your Love

Listen my dear,
Let me make you a pie,
You might get real surprised,
But I don't know, how good am I?
I'll put what it needs
And I'll make it with love,
So it won't turn to something
You'd wanna get rid of.
Even if you don't like it
You will say it is fine
Because my dear, it is mine.
This is how much I know you
And this is your love- one of a kind.

Lovely

You're my lucky star,
and I truly can't believe
how lovely you are.
