My Strong Black Man

Brown eyes so deep with anger and pain yet, so hypnotising and sweet they
tempt my soul.

Lips so soft and warm, such harsh words for such gentle lips. Kiss me so I can
feel your pain.

An embrace so safe and secure that could crush you and destroy that which is
oh so pure- hold me closley.

I feel your heart,
I hear your breath,
I know there is love inside.

A sculptured body, skin of a king, I see you in my dreams-I feel you when you are
away.

If only you loved me with a heart that's pure.
If only you'd let me in so I could love you,
forever and ever,
my strong black man...

African King

Your not alone in this trying world,
I feel your emptiness.
If I could I would break your chains and carry the burden of your pain.
My heart aches too...

Some day those who keep you will be awoken.
I know your beauty, Ive felt your warmth and witnessed you honor,
Your word is bond- your a man amongst men, an "African King"...

Your courage and strength is commendable so I wrote this poem for you...

They took you life and name once again and replaced them with a number,
out of fear of the king within.
The boots you wear represent the hard road you have traveled, and the road you
will continue on through this life.
The clothes that they make you wear are to hide your beautiful skin.

They want you to hurt, they caged you like an animal, dont let them win!!!

One day you will be freed and ALL will hail the "African King"...

NOTE: Written in dedication to a DEAR friend serving life unjustly...
(And all those unjustly in bondage- spiritually, physically, and mentally)
5-10-1009 Update: The Prisoner in this poem is now free( after 15yrs)!!!!

Prodical Son

Like a tide in the storm
taking sand from the shore,
tossed and turned to return to the shore twice as strong as before,
So does the prodical son as he knocks on his fathers door...

Bruised and battered his title didnt matter-
His ways brought shame on his family name.
He used and abused- spent up all his fathers money
no friends since its gone-his fun is no more.
Reality begins to set in when he eats with the pigs-
Its kind of ironic when all he had to do is just repent.
So finally he acknowleges the damage he's done and goes back to his father-
who killed the fattest calf for his son...

Like a tide in the storm
taking sand from the shore,
tossed and turned to return to the shore twice as strong as before,
So does the prodical son as he knocks on his fathers door...

Dont you remember when you walked in his shoes?
Dont act like you aint walked in them too-we all have missued.
But like the prodical son we where saved from our pasts, when we got down on
our knees and asked God for a second chance.
I pray you recieve this lesson, the father wants you to come on home, but many
reject him.
Were all prodical sons, even you gangstas and thugs- the father wants you to
come back home- this world is no home, Repent while you can...This is our
second chance.
Everyday we get tossed and turned by the enemy-But if you have God's word it
will set you free.
You was down on your luck before- now your headed for glory-twice as strong as
before...Take some time out today to call on the Lord!!!

Like a tide in the storm
taking sand from the shore,
tossed and turned to return to the shore twice as strong as before,
So does the prodical son as he knocks on his fathers door...

Renew My Mind/Renew My Spirit

Bruised and abused mentally battered no more
cause once your pushed so far its no turning back no matter who you are.
Bitterness creeps in, now consumed with sin
Trying to walk towards the light but only darkness in sight.
Tears steady roll en cause the flesh ain't controlled
and the heart and the soul battle with flesh outta control.
The corruptible nature's victorious once the wounds go so deep
The pain will not stop - night sweats when you sleep.
A deep yearning for peace, or desire to aquire to be free
but no hope is in sight cause you gave up the fight.
Right back to the streets - No safe place to be
traveling like a nomad searching for a home in this land
no true friends, no trace left of the "New Man".
Officially a Christian outcast but to them I will laugh
cause even in my pitiful state one day God will make a way
to control all this hate, and he will take me to a new land, wipe my tears away
repeat prayers that I have prayed, let me know he was listen
and take all my cares away...

Who Do You Think You Are?

What makes you think you can play with people's hearts and tear lives apart.
walking away without even thinking twice that you may have left scars...

Who do you think you are?

How can you be so two faced and wicked, and try to slander someone else to try
to win points for yourself- Like a child playing a play ground game?

Who do you think you are?

Why must your need for attention swallow other people's souls, why cant you go
to hell alone- leave us Christian folks alone! Quit trying to destroy and build up
your own!

Who do you think you are?

I watch you tears and see the show but my spirit won't allow me to get drawn into
the hole- that you've begun to dig- an I refuse to bow down to ANYONE who is
Satan's friend- you'll never win!

Who do you think you are?

You better recognize I am a child of God.
You better recognize what is right and what is wrong.
You better leave me alone- I am sure I am saved.
I know who is gonna win this race-but the question is...

Who do you think you are?
(I'll pray the Lord reveals that to you)

NOTE: The person I dedicated this lyric to, that I just couldn't no matter how hard I
tried I couldn't make friends with them (in church) passed away of a heart attack
that same year, she left behind a 21 year old husband and 5 children....PLEASE
take these lyrics to heart and ALWAYS make sure you are in the right with God-
and your christian family before your card is pulled...She never got a chance to
make ammends and us become friends, I pray God didn't hold her to that
charge...She is forever in my heart...
