" Experience, Life's Greatest Teacher"

Determination to succeed it's mission,
that it has now chosen for itself,
the ruthless fight of recognition,
remembered by all who has ever felt.

Felt in a way by comparison to none,
this is the only non-physical life source,
resurrecting the greatfulness of some,
though others arent granted these life's doors.

Fables exagerated on this very subject,
with listeners warned of its thorns,
how each one hurts in a different way,
and the pain of a heart torn.

The most misunderstood teacher of life,
which holds 1st place for best and worst,
I've learned form this teacher most wise,
you choose if it's a blessing or a curse.

This teacher I speak of cannot be seen,
but is felt by all that breath air's essence,
I speak of the greatest teacher to me,
all what I've learned , I have from "EXPERIENCE".

The Cross I Bear Without My Confidant

... Then it sunk in you were gone,
no more moments, laughs, or cries to share,
just my writing of poetry to get me along,
through this cross that I was given to bear.

Events taking place as I'm thrown,
thrown in it's pits and no escape in sight,
I am living a life I never have known,
& have never learned of from lessons in life.

So unprepared for the pain endured,
by my slaughtered heart killed with yours,
hearing the news of you left me torchered ,
by events & it's pits I have been reborn.

I became an angry, and hopeless person,
bitter from the loss of your life I took so hard,
affected so badly I've lost sight of me as a person,
& reborn to become what I despised just to start.

Seeking relief of your memory in any way,
turning to all kinds of the evil surrounding me,
praying to meet with you again someday,
but not going till I find you didn't die in vain.

We went through times so good and so hard,
we did many things bad and good too,
why did it all go wrong and drift so far,
because all memories good or bad, was with you.

I'll miss you dearly and for you I will change my ways,
that being reborn has forced upon my acts & thoughts,
you'll forever be known, while your body now lays,
from a pointless act of violence in a dirt covered box.

... Then it sunk in you were gone,
I saw you pale dressed up and just lying there
just my writing of poetry now to get me along,
through this cross that I was given alone to bear.

A Blaring Silence

A quiet heart of thunderous yearning,
I've nothing left to do,
when my heart becomes forever silenced,
because my dreams won't come true.

  My desire to fascinate,
to open eyes across the seas,
lingers now only in heart,
a desire meant only for me.

   How is it so,
my passion to be locked away,
when my heart continues,
striving for the art everyday.

No one to blame but myself,
for this calling of mine lost,
hope was the only thing I held onto,
I've been told hope is the highest cost.

I say never say never to anything possible,
especially what one's heart yearns for,
people criticize my faith in the small chance,
I believe an opportunity will knock on my door.

As I lay down every night I ponder,
I think of what still may or could have been,
in life as I know it if I still had the faith ,
of taking my place in the art i was meant to be in.

I hold fast to my dreams,
and pray it makes its way,
to my quiet heart,
so thunderous in every way.

"katrina's Proved the Powerfull"

Fear colored and forced to be viewed in the eyes of all,
that endured the worst invasion of hell in this nation.
To watch their families suffer as they pray for death to fall,
fall on those assumed to be the powerless part of the nation.

The clouds were darker than had ever been exposed by night,
thunderously pounding rain and hail mutilating all,
lives were destroyed so quickly as mid-day became midnight,
and on television the rest of the U.S. helplessly watched in awe.

The assumed to be power full sleep comfortably at night,
because they warned people to leave before disaster strikes,
most of the population stayed up and survived the long fight,
went to hell & returned as survivors of the flag of stars & stripes.

The world may now see that assumptions are for the blind,
blind of heart, soul, survival, and faiths all alike and true.
True to the hearts of the assumed to be powerless,
who after Katrina, became a definition for survival & power full too.

This poem is meant to inspire all those who seek meaning,
for the powerful who lack things opposite of what the powerless do,
but can you personally determine power of those viewed unfairly,
that are steriotyped as badly and wrongly as being falsely accused.

The main point here is to be great full for all that is given to you,
fret on what not, and you'll regret the inevitable things that hatch,
in the future that teaches you in a way of experience that all fear,
those who've seen suck fear, survived Hurricane Katrina's wrath.

R.I.P. to all those who passed in the disaster...it was a national blow and a
worldly wake up call.

" the Gift of Nature"

The golden sun of pure warmth,
the graze of ripples atop the sea,
gracefully weaving through and amongst,
the wholesome yellow grains of wheat.
Nature's beauty everywhere,
surrounding our lives so curled,
no one ever dare compare,
nature's beautiful and fruitful world.
From the bottom of the ocean flow,
to the top of the trees that sway,
how could one truly not know,
of the gifts nature hands us everyday?
Take a moment to breath the life,
that exists all around us in the making,
to enjoy all nature's gifts,
for you know not when it will be taken.
