Progress

Acid rain pours down on mother earths' beauty transforming her glorious
wonders into riches unworthy. Yet we'll strive to survive in the aftermath of our
own making for the hunger of progress to power shall not be forsaken.

Her oceans once fruitfully alive, crystal clea and enormously vast are now slowly
diminishing and progressively clouding up fast. Plants of production continue to
pollute as they persistently grow while mother earths' winds prevail to acridly
blow.

Wildlife sanctuaries are politically and slowly being erected while our animals
are being poached and left sadly unprotected. The trees in the forest once
abundant ever reaching for the sky are now being processed and
stripped...literally growing to die.

The air once refreshing, we inhaled deeply within. Now there's lung disease and
cancer battling to win. Vegetation once bountiful filled all the lands but greed,
lust and power had different plans.

Our ozone layer once protected us from the suns' harmful rays... now keeps us
hiding from her warmth for the rest of our days. Yet we continue on in life as is
none of this destruction matters, since advancement is our virtue never to be
shattered.

Progress means revenue and money means power so production resumes as
we proceed to devour, what little there is left of mother earths' treasures as we
voraciously enjoy our own selfish measures.

There will come a day when its all said and done, where we may never see
another rising sun. For progress meant power and that was the key....
Progress may be power but it's a force no longer free....
