Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
There once reigned a great king on our Rock
Who dared the West and defied their bloc
Dark shades, face of a frown
Short brute so wanted down
Down, oriental appples on our Rock.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
Pillar of the home, backbone and strength
Astride, sitting on mama's needs
Providing, caring for the kids
Always working, caring less for rest.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
Never has it ever occurred to me
In my whole life on earth
That I'll come across a soul mate like you
So beautiful and unique indeed.
Beauty is mainly physical they say
But yours goes beyond that
To illuminate your hidden features
And accentuate the uniqueness in them.
The sun prouds itself as the most beautiful
Lucifer boasted to that once
But the sun's rays is cowered by your smile's brightness
And Lucifer bows to your beauty's superiority.
Beauty as yours are Angel's version
Beauty comparable to none
Beauty emanating from the depth of your essence
Beauty Numero Uno.
The wind whistles
The birds of heaven sings a eulogy
Flora sways to the beat
All dedicated to your heavenly bestowed beauty.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
Feet in flowing stream...
Torn, wearily strolling by:
Yesterday's gallants.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
There was a born blind boy from Bauchi
Who grew up in the land of Auchi
Seen, taken for a begger
Unknown successful cobbler
King's own, a born blind boy from Bauchi.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
A tiny waist
Imaginary breast
Empower
Don't deflower her
Give her book
Not dick
Care for her lessons
Not her menses
Send her to the classroom
Not your bedroom
Give her book
Not dick
She needs literacy
Not early pregnancy
Education
Not ejaculation
A sense of honour
Not prolonged labour
A better future
Not vesico******l fistula
A pen is all she needs
Not a ***** nor kids
Save the girl child's pride
Don't make her a bride.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
A runaway dog
Lost in the fog
Without a bone
Along his lane
But clubs and sticks
And things that pricks
Once gazed the sky
And prayed to fly
Believing within
It can be done
God saw his heart
And showed his might
Now he flies
By his ears.

Alozor Michael Ikechukwu Poem
Pregnant clouds up in the sky
Like the birds we want to fly
But your visage is so scary
You rage makes the sky teary.
Our once fit legs are getting atrophied
Our heartbeats already slowered
We need to once more feel the outside
We are tired of being locked inside.
It's true you cause our barns to overflow
But your excess our joy it does overthrow
Robbing us of our farms atimes
Sweeping away in its wake our valuables.
Forced to retire to our various rooms
You deny us of our freedoms
Go away, come when we want
No, stay, your lack might invite drought.
We'll ignore you and work and play
We'll no longer wait, you might go away
But if instead you decide to let go
Be mild, there is always tomorrow.

Hear the earth crying:
Turn to nature and be free
From all sickness' scourge!
