Sunken Footsteps

Life has gifted me with tragedy,
broken images, forever haunting,
excruciating my suffering; blood
upon the pulse of my serenity.
Crystal lines are etched over this glaciered heart,
and my tears wash blotches of thoughts
that leaves me blank again daily.

Stolen by death, I am left mourning the assassins kill,
soul sliced open, like the parted sea.
Chained and bound I evade flirtatious eyes,
to inhibit forbidden thoughts;
for love fled upon your precious wings,
survived only by my silent memories.
I stood alone in the midst of nightmares,
just searching for you amongst a midnight dream.

Alas, although the stars filled my eyes,
the sky gathered clouds and the Moon reigned misery,
no peace to be found;
yet today the heavens opened and allowed me to breathe;
I saw your face again, arms out-stretched,
and you said: ”Love come to me,
but mere steps into the convalescent sea."

So Close

Midst the dark of night,
neath the veil of moonlight,
I'll wait for you,
my eyes never losing sight of your face,
always in touch with your hand.

Somewhere in time is where we’ll begin,
consummating our moment for an eternity.
Until then make love to me with words,
echo them within my heart,
etch them upon my memory.

Our embrace will last forever;
through many flames our love has endured.
We have sewn our seeds beyond the depths of ordinary,
drowning out hate, reaping love’s serenity.

Tonight, I will dream you here,
so close to see the love in your eyes,
to drown inside the pool of your need,
soaring past Luna’s seductive lips,
as she whispers your name to me....
So close.~

Eyes

Her delicate silhouette still lingers in my eyes,
closer than these arms can embrace; haunting me.
I breathe her in within the lull of a zephyr,
lilac and roses filling the air; forever staining my memory.
Life found her defenseless, silenced by a veil of darkness;
faith clutched tight within her hand,
as esoteric dreams are shattered beneath the rages of a soulless hand.
Frail she emerged, soul hidden, draped in shades of gray.

Sweet serenity severed tragically; incarcerated reality.
Her taunting whispers bleed my heart,
no peace for the buried thoughts inside;
for innocence was laid to rest before dying,
earthbound, intimately weaving in and out through me.
No more saline tears to sate these eyes,
just an expressionless specter in human disguise.
She wore candy apple red the day she left; bright eyes that smiled.

A Love Poem

Beloved, turn off the lights; speak to me;
Is your heart to be evermore my own,
does my name slip from your lips silently...
content, that I should need ne'er more to moan.
~
Beloved, watch close loves acquainted eyes;
reflections holds no secrets from within.
For the souls bidding eyes will ne'er tell lies,
remember, doubt not… your want is my sin.
~
Beloved, wilt thou walk with me through dreams,
come lay with me as if I were dying?
Kiss my mouth, give me water from your stream;
listen love...the voice of the rain’s crying.

Loves lives through winters cold, summers fire,
though daybreak begins, as the night retires.

Bound Together

I
am she
who seized the
storm and hushed the
Zephyr's rage to sleep;
the fierce within your soul,
the solace within your dreams.
I am your stained submissive lips
wanting, yet loathing; bare and alone,
oozing with lust filled memories; undone.
I am the bold stare when your eyes fear sight,
watching replays of your meant future,
whispering, I am no angel,
in your anxious, enthused ear.
I am your mind at night,
all you hold in sight,
your hearts lament,
deep inside;
I am
You.

Who's Afraid of the Dark

Oh mother, dear mother, come make my bed,
for the sun grows tired and has lost its shine;
come bless the place where I will lay my head,
surround it with angels, all that’s divine.
~
Oh mother, dear mother, come bar the door,
count the slow clock's chime as shadows descend.
Eve's breeze is now listless, birds sings no more,
all the land lays in silence , till night ends.
~
Oh mother, dear mother, sing me to sleep,
drown the foul voice of fears infestation;
let us join strength, to one another keep,
safe here in your care, and consolation.

Dear father, please protect us through the night,
save us from all harm, till dawn brings us light

Declaration

Today I fixed my gaze upon the sun itself,
no longer blinded or taunted by its presence;
 intoxicated and bewitched by your splendor.
A minion of the moon; always beautiful.

So easily you lift me past the midnight of my soul,
lighting this heart by the mere bidding of your word;
and I gladly dwell in love’s labyrinth,
feasting upon sweet anticipation,
loving you; I hunger for it.

Through your whispering bones,
I am absorbed, permeated by waves
of infinite seeds of pleasure,
as I walk through your storm dissolving;
fainting in the arms of ecstasy.
My tongue has pronounced it;
just short of dying.

Cracks In a Pulse-Less Heart

Here in this wrecked house
passion's corrupted
and there’s molded love
in the cracks of the threshold...
tragic are the echoes within.

The air is infected with the stench
of rotting hope...rotting dreams...
Scents suffocate and I am apt to scream...
but the silence is just too loud...
time is stressing with its second guessing

Yet, when I close my eyes,
these dire walls are dressed in lights,
teasing with glimpses of familiar eyes…
recalling love... that holds no reflection in the mirror.

I once dared to walk in love's parallel world
and the ache in each step weakened the whole of my heart...
yet, there were times I would have lain with death
as it’s shameful concubine.
Now I live each day…going in circles...
wearing this mask of nonsense
fooling many...only love and I know the truth...
I am wounded and all within has been broken…
just waiting to be eulogized

In the Knowing

Love and I… face to face at last… remembering the dark of our fall…recalling the presence of our winter…when the threads of my pulse ran cold. Do you remember love, when the fire turned to ashes…and we sought the forever spring in us… for we feared this space between life and death without the encounter of human touch. Come to me love, like a jealous river… eager to be a part of a frenzied sea. Love…find comfort in knowing …you and I will always be.
