The Distance of Silence

The falling leaves danced
With the randomness of time
And flow of restless souls,
Moving on. Passing-by.
Grayer shades clothed
The dying accent of the setting sun
And in an hour,
You will be gone.

Those sobbing rehearsals
With the rain,
Are but futile train
Of affirmations spoken
Behind the mirror.
I stammered, as the words
Tried to come out;
Although the wind knows
What to shout.
And while you silently crept
In the corridor,
Love went out the back door.

So this time:
Let silence be my words
And tears do the conversation.
For everything here bear your trace.
Your whispered voice,
Grows louder in the emptier space
You left behind.
And in every crowded place
I know, I will always
Find your face.
That even numbness
Can not overcome the pain
Of which, I am to blame.

As I grip your loss
In the recesses of my mind,
I will weep.
For I can't stand
the thought of missing you!
Even though,
You were never mine.
Because, I haven't
Tried.

Manhid

makulit.paulit-ulit lang
ang pag-ibig ko sa’yo.
di nasasaktan.di nadadala
pilit nililimot,lalong lumalala
ang pag-alaala:
sa kahapon
sa ngayon,sa bukas.
ginagamot ng sampal,
batok, sabunot
at buntong- hiningang
walang humpay.
ng sigaw na walang nakaririnig,
kundi ang taong di ko na kilalang
kaharap ko sa malabong
salamin.

kagabi,magkasabwat na naman
ang lamig at dilim;
nanunuot sa bawat
himaymay ng malay,
nag-uunahang manumbat.
parang mga
mga paang nag-aagawang
tumakas at
nangahas dumaan
sa mga lansangan,
at pader na nanunuksong
pangalan mo lang ang alam
isulat.

sa sulok
nagsisiksikan ang mga agiw
at sapot.sariling hagod
ng impit na mga daing.
bahaw na ngiti.
ulang pumatak,
natuyo,tumatak.
sa kawalan,sino ang nawala
at nawalan?
paulit-ulit lang.gaya ng dati.
paulit-ulit lang
ang palabas.
hanggang wala nang maramdaman.
gaya noon.

Ferris Wheel

Walang napapala,
ang titik sa tugma.
Pilitin mang kumawala,
babalik pa rin sa rehas
at kulungang walang tanikala.
Hayaang magdusa
ng walang parusa:
Gumala ng gumala
sa pagitan ng luha at lupa!
At kung sa wakas man magmula,
‘wag papagtagpuin ang dulo
at kabila:
pabayaang maging tama
ang tama!

About Last Night

The cool touch of the blowing wind
Set us on fire!
Drawing us nearer;
Closer together.
We were a slave
To the rhythm of the water,
As it touches the beach.
Unable to resist!
In a trance,to the hypnotic
Feeling of love's command;
Wishing it to be everlasting!
Like the burning sensations
We have shared
A while ago
On the sand.

Gift of Wings

Gift of Wings
(Return To Innocence)

I'll bid you goodbye,
Before I lose the power
To shake-off your venomous love,
Yhat had enshrouded my vestal heart
From the first time
I saw,that
Angelic smile.

Because everytime
I try to throw my wings
To touch andride the clouds;
And everytime I get so near you
To see your shining eyes;
It only let me reaize,
How high you are!

And how far
We are apart.

The Crow

If you love me,
Don't set me free.
Grip me.Bond me.
Chain me!
That I may not
Fly Away.

For if you'll
Let me:

I'll never
Come back.

Day One

Day one crept
gently like
the rising sun.
A theater of dreams;
Unconscious streams
of thoughts,
Led by the frowns
of clowns.
Endless chains of heroes
on parade;
Disposable cowards
in a charade,
Bowed their heads
and crowned a madman
Again and again.

Through a reign of pain
tired minds had tried,
un-tired, retired.
A fool discovered
that hope lasts longer
between stretches
of hunger.
But nobody listened.
They haven't learned
from day one.
By the setting sun,
it's gone.
Today began.

Wardmates

You distorted the images
Registered by your eyes,
While the curtain hugs
The windows' edges
As you peep.

Wipe the mists formed
On the glass,
As you breathe with
The nostrils of desolation,
The serenity of this night
Lit by the dull
Quarter-moon.

Vent the emptiness you've felt
With lips bedumbed
By the cold kisses blown
From afar,with gloom.

And like a flower in pain,
Let your mind swim;
Drain my thoughts!
For beyond this distance,
Borders and endings,
I am here.
Loving you still,
Through my eyes.

A Star's Scream

The vast expanse of darkness
Was riddled with star-fire
And comet fountains.
Emptiness stared back
When driven through disorder's border.
And while each hollow breath
Entangle with the cosmic shifts,
The mind was set adrift
To the distortions
Of flexing lights.

Faint glows you'd cast
On that primal night,
Sprayed like ice crystals
And diamond glitters
On spinning sheets of
Gray dust clouds.
The gloom of dawn unhinged,
Disarmed.Unfolded:
Succeeded where logic said
"It shouldn't!"

Let the tormented reign of groans
Cover those blankness.
Away in spaces where motion is
Light years from letting go.
Pain survives
In borrowed
Silence.

If

If only, I am brave enough
to say the words that
might have binded us
together again;
we wouldn't be
like this:
uncertain, waiting,
longing for
those hot lips and
warm embraces.
the sweet scent of our
sweat!
and those unending nights
we shined,we conquered
together
with the moon!
and tasted the
ecstatic feeling
and euphoria of
the moving clouds.
