Zoria Gregory Poem
Time quickly evaporates into a mist of translucent memories; I hold tightly and think of you
Grasping for one more image, a word, a touch; I fight to keep the moment alive and think of you
At last I yield to it's grip, my heart sighs
As ashes lie smothering the last breath of light, I think of you

Zoria Gregory Poem
There was a time
I can attest
A window to the future
Joy was there
As many others
Happiness came as her tutor
As we jumped
In and out
Our hearts all a flutter
What did we find
But the trappings of time
We had landed betwixt each other

Zoria Gregory Poem
You may not remember but you passed this way before
You held my hand, you walked with me
You jumped and jiggled and said, let's go
Your eyes smiled brightly as my eyes cried
You were ready, you were set, this I know
As you walked through the doors there was no turning back
I knew I could do nothing more
You may not remember but you passed this way before

Zoria Gregory Poem
I’ve danced on tables
My boots laced high
I have that kinda style
Cognac in one hand
Tambourine in another
I go on for miles
Songs of sorrow
Songs of love
Sweeping the night time air
Stars all aglitter
A toast to you
Glasses raised high in the air
We sang and we danced
We laughed and romanced
Days that lasted forever
Now we look on
As they dance to our song
Our days have but gently ended

Zoria Gregory Poem
Whisper to me
Tell me those things that happen between darkness and dawn
Is there a dance or maybe a trance that remains hidden until morning sun
Whisper to me all that you see
All colors of clouds and blue skies
Show me how far
The distance you are from heaven and sweet lullabyes
Whisper to me
Tell me those things, those things I can only imagine
Stay near to me, help me to see the beauty in all God's creation

Zoria Gregory Poem
She sat in the tall grass nestled among the lilies
Watching the dragonflies dance
The cool breeze swayed gently over, under, around
Embracing her in a soft caress
As she lay in the tall grass nestled among the lilies
Eyes watching her every breath
The trees swayed with passion, the dance of seduction began
The leaves dared to entrance
As she lay in the tall grass nestled among the lilies
The sweet sound of evening began
Her heart softly beating with the rhythm of the night
As she watched the dragonflies dance

Zoria Gregory Poem
Where have you been my old weary friend
I’ve missed you
I’ve waited so long
Have your travels been far
Can I go where you are
I’ve missed you
Come closer to me
What did you find
Perhaps a glimpse of time
Star dust, cherubs and angels
When will I know
I’ve missed you so
Where have you been my old weary friend

Zoria Gregory Poem
I don’t know why I let you in
It may have been a moment
Off the cuff, to my chagrin
You were so charming, so sweet, so light on your feet
I don’t know why
My senses not alarming
You took me in your arms
Holding me tight, never a worry
My spirit took flight
As we twirled, as we danced
I took comfort; romance
Never did I ponder where I had been that night
So dapper and tall
Your smile said it all
Yet your aura strangely misgiven
No longer so sweet, so light on your feet
Your face distorted
Your manner, driven
As we danced to the song
Fear came along
The encore was never given
Where was I that night?
The devil took flight
I stood there and all was forgiven

Zoria Gregory Poem
Why shouldn't I
I got what I got
Why shouldn't I
If it ain't right it's not
Why shouldn't I
I got all there is
Why shouldn't I
Ask for all that gives

Zoria Gregory Poem
It came upon me as a warm gust of wind
Never knowing where it came from
Never knowing where its been
Like a snow covered field glistening under a yellow moon
As the butterfly in early spring emerges from its cocoon
As the morning sun rises and kisses the earth
So it is with you, Love
And so it is you
