Truths

I feel that some
people have a hard
time
with the truths
around us,
not only the sexual
abuse by priests,
but all the bad
things
I call it chosen
ignorance

Ignorance is found
in people who,
if confronted with
certain truths,
realize that they
have to accept them
and thereby
acknowledge evil
and that frightens
them
It is too hard,
period.

A True Soul-Mate

A true soul-mate is probably
the most important person
you'll ever meet because
they tear down your walls
and smack you awake

Moon

Come now moon, Shine your light
Let me have some brightness tonight
Send me a star that I can borrow
And you can have it back tomorrow

Come now moon, Watch over me
Turn the tides that are drowning me
Please take me underneath your wing
And turn my winters into spring

Come now moon, I know you're there
For you always follow me everywhere
Please send down just one moonbeam
To turn my nightmares into dreams

Come now moon, Walk with me
With you around I am sure to see
A path somewhere that I can take
One on which my heart wont break

Come now moon, Before the day
Creeps in and chases you away
Please put the pieces of my soul
Back together and make me whole.

Scary Thoughts

You're scared
of the thought to see me gone
I'm scared
of the thought of moving on

Worst Morning After

Losing you one night arose severe pain
realizing it the morning after had me going down a drain
You were gone and I couldn't get it through my brain.
On my back, I carried a chain
I couldn't see the sunshine with eyes full of rain
I rather be run over by a train
or cut through my heart with a blade
I couldn't see my path lane
The worst morning after your death was my bane.

Love's Journey

In the stillness that calls your name,
I walk down the path your footprints made.
Wandering through memories, lingering in thoughts,
the path slowly weaving it’s way to the center,
Of all that was, all that is,
and all that ever will be.

I have walked this path many times,
to a place apart.
It’s timeless existence a testimony,
to the love which led me here.
It matters not what direction I turn
or how great the distance,
every path returns here.
Sometimes I come to a standstill in this knowing,
sometimes I run with free abandon,
closer to letting go, to giving in,
and I find myself in the center,
of something so beautiful, so unimaginably tender.
No doors or gates here, no keys and locks.
Love has no barriers, no constraints.
At times I am lost in the wonder of it’s boundlessness.

There is a hole here, in the center of my heart,
though it seems now more the window of a summer sky.
As I look, brushing my fingertips across the pain,
the beauty of reflection,
I see you,
Watching as the sun sinks below the horizon.
I see you raise your eyes,
toward the moon rising full and silvery in the night sky.
You smile then, remembering,
and I know you see the same vision,
as you look from the window of your heart.

The Dead

You know as well as I do
the dead don't stay interested in us living people very long
Gradually, they lose hold of the earth
and the ambition they had
and the pleasure they had
and the things they suffered
and the people they loved
That's the way I put it
And they stay here while the earth part of them burns away
Waiting for the eternal part in them to come out clear
What's left when memory is gone and your identity?
They no longer have to reach out for a hand to save them
For their pain vanishes

Endless Chapter

When you lose a love,
In your mind and your vision everything changes.
It all loses sense, and the world becomes your enemy.
When you lose a love,
Everything, absolutely everything, becomes dangerous.
When you lose a love,
The rain wets your soul, and a cloudy cloud follows your every step.
The rich blue sky turns grey,
And the ocean's water turns to fire.
For that love, you become weak,
And the wind blows you off.
There are no words to comfort your feelings
The chapter is endless without commercials,
And if the protagonist dies, he or she dies of bitter
When you lose a love,
tears fall from your eyes with frequency,
Piano keys do not sound,
guitars have no strings,
and a deveined human being
