Gone

Gone Dark times, dark heart, His love did depart. A thrill, the kill, The loss of his will. Love stolen, love lost, A terrible cost. Betrayed, dismayed, To rest she was laid. A doe, a foe, His heart filled with woe. The one near and dear, Revealed in a tear. Regret and sorrow, Now no tomorrow. For true love he died, He had swallowed his pride. A dueler, the best, Laid quietly to rest.

Tears

Tears No thief in the night stole her from me, It was a mighty tempest, like you would witness at sea. For a time she was safe, far from harm’s way, Until her trust a friend did betray. Looking back on all I have done, A different life path may have saved my loved one. But a life of power and greed I did follow, Now my loved one is gone, and my soul it is hollow. I have missed her terribly all through the years, Now all I have left is her memory in tears.

Regret

Regret Hair of ebony, eyes of black, Dark robes billowing along my back. Taunted and snubbed, young days of woe, Drawn to darkness there I did go. Magic once white soon turned to black, And feelings for others I soon came to lack. Torture, terror, murder, and fame, All performed under my Dark Lord’s name. My anger, my jealousy, my passion, my pride, All quickly vanished the night my beloved died. The darkness within me now replaced by deep sorrow, I no longer care about the coming tomorrow. My heart now shattered, a broken man am I, I turn to an old enemy who is now my ally. With his help and others, and a soon-to-be man, We work together to foil the Dark Lord’s plan. I now give my all to the side known as right, The side I had turned from one past fateful night. While mourning my beloved, her son in my care, It is in his eyes, my dearest I see there. Avenging her death, now my purpose in life, I willingly take on all I have to that’s strife. My lesson is learned, the dark side was wrong, There is nothing rewarding in being alone.

The Plea

The Plea Please keep her safe was my fervent plea, Keep her safe from the Dark Lord for me. The price I will pay if you do it this night, Is my service to you, my loyalty, my life. For hers is the only love I’ve ever known, Keep this as our secret, that which I have shown. An agreement sealed and the deed soon done, I felt I had at last finally won. She was safe in a place the dark could not go, And I kept my promise—a friend became foe. But soon darkness came calling and broke through the spell, In a flash my life became pure living hell. Profound sorrow cuts deep in my heart like a knife, This is now who I am, a man with no life.
