Gone
Gone
Dark times, dark heart,
His love did depart.
A thrill, the kill,
The loss of his will.
Love stolen, love lost,
A terrible cost.
Betrayed, dismayed,
To rest she was laid.
A doe, a foe,
His heart filled with woe.
The one near and dear,
Revealed in a tear.
Regret and sorrow,
Now no tomorrow.
For true love he died,
He had swallowed his pride.
A dueler, the best,
Laid quietly to rest.
