Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Joined mountains and blankets of forests
Where the sun dances just above the breeze
Deep inside the past and positions of clouds
Following branches and roots to the inside of the earth
Meadows and crevices, climbing alpine heights
Freedom in the wildflowers and fields
Memories tangled up down long dusty roads

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
We jump off the delirious thoughts into measured wisdom
Big huge chains of thought and mists of dream boat invention
While out on leave from the present day
The world turns another inch in your favor
Misty morning metal armor, the dream bent on delivering the goods
Trying to peel the outer layer of a person
Trimming the infested material born drumbeat
Hey man it's one more time and I'll be on my way
Back to the brilliant splash of molten storybook teamwork

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Is it that the world is so cold you must be alone
Could it be a sign on the road
Yield to self-control
And if I wanted a kiss
Would you put me on a little black list
As the sun sets in a valley of rust
Is this the end of us?
All the rivers overflow and the deserts are cold
This piece of heaven so sacred and pure
Look into the skies it's yours
The twisted piece of the puzzle fits
My last good trip
The passion to broad to explore
Help me open my doors
And if the people you once dismissed
Try to sell you some bliss
I am one cause God said so
Don't put me in a righteous role
All the rivers overflow
And the deserts are cold
This piece of heaven so sacred and pure
Look into the skies it's yours

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Can I get a witness, to make my mind up right
Can I get a spotlight, in the darkest night
Some roads are rolling, there ain't no end in sight
Just like my freedom, the price is never right
Hey someone, pray to someone
Hey someone , pray to someone
Judged by a cover, the gavel will break your back
First day of summer, I'm screaming New York where you at
Need a word of wisdom, to carry this battle axe,
It's always something, I wear it from hell and back
Hey someone, pray to someone
Hey someone, pray to someone
It wasn't long ago you left your soul by the side of the road
Wishing you could find one single ride
Staring like a man with the sun in his eyes

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Some roads are like friends you never abandon
The travel is drawn by ghost carriage
Memories broad and bountiful
Pain lost and deceitful
Distance driven by how you roll
I wonder about vision and if I'll be struck by one
Out on the painted worlds streets
Lucky I've stretched the eyes with peace
Drifters,riders,wrongdoers, and friends
Writing our own history till the end
Some roads are like planets circling the sun
Another soldier of circumstance and so called fun

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Rest your head in a pillow of clouds
The weary and broken down listen
Count the miles on your feet
Count them like the sheep
Aimlessly eating from the fields
Measure the myths and comb the cobwebs
Scatter the differences and pray
Tomorrow breathes in another sky
Release the everyday burden
Judgements creep around fallen friends
They probably never had a chance
A highway song of remembrance
Beneath a summer moon
Smoke signals for the lost
Across the great divide....

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Driving the phantom ship into the seas of turmoil, hanging onto the swells of the dead ocean song
I remember the skies, endless in their will to love
I remember my song , born innocent in the arms of friends
Sunsets pray on horizons and dig deep into the eyeball theater
I was falling wordlessly and bound for the bottom
The days are walking in single file, past the gallery of memories and the will to transpire
Someday soon , i don't know when, i'll pick myself up again
Dust off these ancient bones, Pick my head up and head on home

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Leave the soulless gallop to the horses
Head north to the brightest star in the sky
Restless and hungry for something calming
Lazy rivers and deep forests
There is no story like your own
It reads fast and hard on this day
It's a wishful rant swollen like a stormy sky
It's the music that plays deep into your mind
One lost street lamp stands forever on my street
The road outside my door remains reckless like my feet
Can I get a piece of the American Dream
Can I get a pat on the back when I'm free
Of all this useless clutter I keep inside my head
I need a vanishing act and a new to make up my bed
Wishful and willful is the master living large
Vagabond and defenseless i'm clothed in this fog
Can I get an edge to beat the odds
Can I get a lesson to be who I once was
Wishful.......

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
No more torn bandages on infected thoughts
Constantly searching for brevity and promise
Dogs of war sounding trumpets to march
Missions mocking the sound judgements of peace
Digging into safe silence and days of thunder
Casting the wish across a pond looking for ripples
Waiting for the sun and the return of my freedom
Magic and morality,misguided mantras
Useless work passed on from generation to generation
How do you fill the void, loosen the pull on the people

Jeffrey Bovee Poem
Turning time and darkened footprints
Paved promises and lost calls
Wilderness songs and wishful thoughts
Arrivals at the common cause
The seasons merge and we wrinkle
Skin rooting deep into history
Sharpened eyes and tired fingers
Grasping for words or a fable
