Red Soil

Cosmopolitan it may seem
Humanity bursting at the seam
Diverse colours, almost obscene
All are heard, none are seen

Uniformity in diversity
Chaos in serenity
Ugliness doing beautifully
Still a village disguised as a city

Myriad and diversified
Complex and haughty
Confident, ununified
Of adulation, always worthy

Edo!
My land forever o!
Oba gha to kpe e
Ise….

Olokun

Hark!
What do I see?
A mermaid comes to me
Moonlight reflects the sheen
On her lucent tail fin

Olokun
Goddess of the sea
Bringing peace and tranquillity
With white robes of purity

Un-Titled

Walking through the desert
A genre-less beast of burden
The flaming orb in the sky
A brutal master so true

She trudges with drooped head
With feet like lead
Moving involuntarily
Towards the bleak unknown

Hark! What do I see?
A great body of water
Inevitably doomed
Soles bruising Earth

In a for-ward movement
To-wards un-avoidable destruction
Eyes scanning the horizon
Doom is definitely the solution

This great body of doom
Lapping at the toes
She'd rather take the plunge
Than turn her back on it

She'd rather swim across
Than wait for her salvation....

The Egyptians are coming

The Voyage of Us

The journey of Humanity is one of courage, it is of hope, it is of Acceptance.
It is of eyes peering in the horizon believing there is utopia behind it.

The journey of Humanity is one of struggle, of blood, of war, of Tears.
It is of the pursuit of Happiness, it is of Free-dom.

It is of Faith.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The journey of  Humanity is one of travel, of adventure, of Curiousity.
It is of exploring new terrains, it is of Excitement.
The journey of Humanity is one of  rejuvenation, of Re-formation, of Re-birth. It is of re-production, of Refurbishment.
It is of Renaissance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The journey of Humanity is one of music, of beauty, of laughter, Sharing.
It of eating, it is of community, it is of smiles, it is of Hugs.

The journey of Humanity is one of dancing, of Competition.
It of service, it is of sub-mission. it is of Prayer

It is of our Universal Creator.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The journey of Humanity is one of fare-wells, of tears, of Regrets.
It is of leaving, it is of good-byes, it is of Remorse.
The journey of Humanity is one all about making Love...
It is of potions, it is of oils, it is of nudity. It is of Endings.
It is of Beginnings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The journey of humanity is one of Conceptualization
It is of creating, it is of Visualization.

The journey of Humanity is one of Development
It is of building-up, it is of Breaking-down

It is of taking Chances.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But, most of all....
The journey of Humanity is one of.... LOVE.
Love for all things Good.
Love for all things Bad.
Love for all things Ugly.
And...
...a Love for all things DARK.
Peace to all of Man-kind.
If Only
It was...
If only it had been!
Immersed in abstract reality
Conversation
Laughter
Loving
Wanting to reach out and confirm tangible expectations
But instinctively knowing it is an exercise in futility
Because by reaching out,
The spell would be broken
The magic would be gone
Dispersed like smoke in the wind
Leaving be-hind
The bitter-sweet after-taste
Of what is; but is not
If only....
It can be seen with-out the sub-conscious being a catalyst
For a projection that can-not be visualised
With the naked eye
So the windows to the soul with the curtains drawn
Kept imploring to the sub-conscious
To tarry, nay
If only....
For a little while
So some-thing so puritanical
Can be revelled in
But reality...
Oh, in-evitable reality!
Tore in and shattered any illusion of nirvana
Leaving behind poignant memories
To ferry a battered soul over to the shores of dawn
I Want To Cry
I WANT TO CRY
Shreds of a broken life
Pieces unfulfilled
A genius unknown
Destined to be alone
Do we cry?
Tears have been shed
Do we grieve?
Grief is the reality
Sadness lurks
Behind the cheery façade
Joy is a dream unfulfilled
Loneliness; a permanent companion
Eyes brimming with unshed tears
As the soul weeps with abandon
A square peg in a round hole
Never complete, never whole
Just plodding through
Wading through life
I want to cry
I really want to weep
Perhaps my soul will be unburdened
Freed from the pain of suppression
Please help me cry;
These unshed tears are a burden
Should I pierce my eyes with nails?
So perhaps I can bleed tears?
I want to cry….
          I want to cry….
                    I want to cry
Belsan
This was written for the Belsan Tragedy....
Mother Earth has completed
the cycle of the sun
Searing agony; blackened dreams
Freewill has been undone
Vivid memories tainted by blood
Megalomaniacs on the prowl,
charging through doorways
Altering course of lives
Masters of predation
Masters of the gun
Masters of deprivation
No need to pull a con
Guns, robes, identity (un) known
Hunted by all
Entrapped by none
Three day of terror
Families' oppignerate
If the sun should rise again
We'll never congregate
Just like Icarius
Who flew from Crete on wings
The sun indeed did rise
Alas! The sea beckoned as well
What was the purpose I wonder,
or am I an ignorant fool?
Multiple lives lost to plunder
Still I say, what was the use?
The Origin of Origin
How do we go back through Time, Space, Matter and Reasoning to the Origin of
Origin and commune with the Original Originator?
Is it through our death?
Is it through re-birth?
Is it through the Earth?
Or is it when we berth?
As we drift in-to a quiescent dock
Bourne by waves of Mercury, we rock
Silent and peaceful... no sound... no talk...
Perhaps, this time at the dock
We may find a bit of luck
At communing on the floor
With the Original Originator
How do we go back through Reasoning, Space, Matter and Time to the Origin of
Origin and commune with the Original Originator?
Is it through the Sun?
Is it when we mourn?
Is it when its dawn?
Or at the peak of form?
As we flex muscles of wood
All sinewy, all musculi, all crude
Hunched like Mr Olympia’s brood
Perhaps this time at the Water
We will commune with Awe, with Laughter
As we (hopefully) end at the door
Tha’ll be opened by the Original Originator
How do we go back through Matter, Reasoning, Space and Time to the Origin of
Origin and commune with the Original Originator?
Perhaps, this question I think can be answered on through infinity ad infinitum.....
The Less of Life
Life has long seized to hold me spellbound.
I do not follow the rules of existence.
Life is a chore
That I've lost the skills to tackle
Life is a battle and I am no soldier
I am no longer interested in fighting.
I want peace - not war
I am no longer alive, but I live
And yes I also exist, but I follow no rules
I have beliefs so strong-
I believe in the futility of my existence
