On Butterfly Wings

On clear bright days I catch a glimpse
Of what is a rare and beautiful sight.
Endangered, once feared to be lost to time
A gem to the butterfly world.
The Monarch making a brave return
Bringing to me a smile on beating wings.
Timeless beauty wrapped in a silk cocoon
Free to flutter where the wind goes.
Dancing on air without missing a beat
Enchanted by your beating heart.
Knowing I have seen rare beauty.
On more than one occasion you have come,
Like the rainbow that comes by.
Peeking through the clouds, around corners.
Reminding me on several occasions,
To follow inspiration, to keep chasing rainbows.
To fly on butterfly wings.

For P.D., who constantly inspires...
Contest 'any old butterfly poem...

Butterfly Dreams

Giving in to desires dreams of butterflies,
Dancing to internal rhythms pulsing beat,
Finding Heaven's scent, devils delight, sighs;
Wanting temptations forbidden fruits heat.

Come to where butterflies desires go to kiss,
On wings that whisper of earthly tones,
Carried to heights of sublime bliss;
While butterflies whisper orgasmic moans.

Plunging deeper, coaxing french vanilla cream,
Eyes wide open drinking in butterfly dew,
Giving in to butterflies secret desires to dream;
Devouring ambrosial butterfly nectar anew.

Trembling beneath each stroke of butterfly wings,
Release struggling to cascade in brilliant form,
Tender hushed whispers, as the heart sings;
Caught off guard during a butterfly storm.

My Liege

H.G. my liege, you lead the heed
Your heartfelt writing filled with need

To give voice to honest words
For thoughts to reach all free birds

Encouraging those whose passion burns
Experiences presented down winding turns

Vivid expressions easily painted
Seeing your dedication I almost fainted

H.G. my Liege, I dedicate to thee
Dedicated just for you, from me

Pds Inner Animals

The Fox a cunning sort
Racing through the fields
Hunting not just for sport
Sly and sure, steady is he

The Wolf a beautiful beast
Uses timeless instinct
Proud of family and feast
Protection of pack his home

The Coyote the fearless one
Striding, wandering aimlessly
Majestic in his own, none
Continuous on his journey

Inspired by Destroyer Poet, thank-you

Stargazing

Day gives way to night
The darkening skies
Come alive

Magic flecks across the dark
Twinkling to their tune
Music unsung

A canvas built on dreams
Vibrating with wishes
Secrets told

Glimpsing into the unknown
Neither here nor there
Just being

The Rivers Edge

While sitting near the rivers edge
Enveloped in another tale
Caught off guard by raw beauty
Setting my pen off to set sail

As the sun glistens off the river
My reflection distorted above
Surrounded by natures jewels
Enchanted by what I love

With God's Blessings

God has truly blessed me
With a gift so pure
A new generation
Built on love

I pray you are strong
That you dream
You love
You care

You are God's gift
For me to love
For me to raise
For as long as we live

You are my Angel
The apple of my eye
A part of my soul
My little boy

Not too much longer
Before we meet
To see you perfect
My heart will soar

You will be taught
You will learn
You will believe
You can fly

I will be by your side
When you laugh and cry
I will watch and protect
Always believing in you

From the moment
I knew you existed
My life changed
For the better

I dream of you
Of your bright eyes
Your beautiful face
And I wait

The sound of your heartbeat
Makes mine skip
The bumps in the night
Remind me you're there.

Stones In Place

Stones come in all varieties of colors
Dazzling and uniting passionate lovers

Stones are what foundations are based
Through time and space many have raced

Stones come in all shapes and sizes
One can only guess of it's many disguises

Stones make you wonder where it all started
Where they stand once we've departed

Inspired by Rick Parise and contest named Stones

The Fox, the Wolf, the Coyote

A wizard of wild
Seasonal changes his world
Sly and cunning games

Open fields are home
To always play till days end
Hunting more than sport

A flash of movement
Traces of his whereabouts
Are scarcely a trail.

Magician of beast
Blending one within his own
Timeless enchantment

A graceful harshness
A beautiful wilderness
Harsh environments

An eerie silence
Approaching from the shadows
Cloaked in mystery.

Fearless by nature
Radiant energy bounds
An essence of one

Playful and naughty
Shadows of monsters lurking
Elected by force

A challenge to live
Surviving in modern days
Resilient by far.
