Games In My Head

Not knowing is the worst part
The not knowing if it’s me still in your heart

As you move on and things change
How am I expected to stay the same?

Trying to bend your ear
Willing you to listen

Playing a game that only goes on in my head
I’m always the one who looses

Smoke

Smoke filled lungs
Cloud the oxygen trying to get in
Fat veins, dark hearts and burnt lungs
Straining to take a breath
Whilst you’re gripping at your chest
It’s an aggravation, and annoyance
Quitting is always harder than it seems.

No Sleep

There was a girl who couldn't sleep
Her eyes remained open,
Bound by their determination to stay
Her brain in overdrive
A pen in hand

When she started to write
She didn’t know that the words she spilt
would be dripping with angry tears

As she watched her hand move across the page
The words flowing from her pen
She realised that she was reading them as if for the first time

When she was finished
and could write no more
She stopped and read
read what was left there on the page

The words jumped out and surprised her
She had never before been afraid of what was inside.

Is That All There Is

I want to see your face
Hold your hand
Make you understand
Hold you close
So tight
Through that darkness in the
night
That black space of dispare
That place, I'm always there
I helped you out of those
closed in walls before
Was that all I'm good for?
An escape route from yourself
Till you were ready to be alone

Mess

When you feel like something is
missing
And there is mess in your head
You finally realise
That person is missing from
your bed
There is nothing you can do
Nothing you can say
You just have to work through
the day
Try and get by
Keep your head in check
Stop sticking out your neck
They don't want you back
All thats left behind is the
emptiness
Of what was
Or what it could have been
Its all undone
Unseen
Finished

Where To Go

Where do we go from here
I'm being patient
Though I'm close to tears
Feel the beat of my heart in my cheat
Feel myself catching my breath
I'm in limbo
Love with no aim
Have you really lost that flame
Girl you spoke to me with light in your heart
Saying you missed me when we were apart
I know those words ran true
Please tell me now if we are through

Break You

Awake in my waking dreams of you
You are there, and I am too
Just one kiss, that’s all it would take;
To make you break,
down those walls inside of you

Kisses In the Night

I thought I had given myself to someone real someone true
That person was you
That now feels like a lie
Even though I was there
Everything felt so real and right
All those kisses in the night
The excitement on your breath
As I helped you get undressed
You watched me close
Engrossed
You can't fake that
