Legacy of Love

Time may seem as if it steals.
Time will tell if it heals; how it can take it's toll.
Though never may remove a mothers love
                within ones soul.

            Goodbye is never easy
           A so-long-for-now will do.
All the memories we will cherish.
Though are many seemed to few.

God placed you on this earth
as a gift to all you would touch.
Loving wife, cherished mother, and loyal friend...
to all you meant so much.

A guardian angel in waiting, guiding, protecting and never wavering.

As a beacon through the darkest night,
                 a comforter til mornings light,
there you always were and in our hearts you'll always be.

Through the faith you shared with all you loved
one day we know we'll see you high above.

Until we meet again, may your
                garden in heaven grow;
and may you look down upon our
faces with so much love to show.

Misery Foe

Misery loves it's company- no misery loves the sight of me.
It's been with me for too long now and my spirit cries free.
Why has it been so long to move on from my past?
It seems as if this emptiness will surely always last.
How can I make it go away? So I can finally breathe.
To suffocate in this fog of misery will surely be the end of me.
I thought ways to make it go and not on led to my bliss.
Who will come into my life to deliver my curing kiss?
What makes it to where I cant I cant progress without one being there?
Depending on others for my joy is neither way not fair.
When will my day of victory rise when I've defeated my misery foe?
It seems as if the only way is just to him go.

Concede To Change and Conquer

Sailing along watching waves slightly grow
each has there own adventure to tow.
Looking ahead forgetting the past.
Though lagging are the impressions people made last.
Easier to look on and embrace what’s in store,
than to want for something that is no more.
Letting go is hard to do
when there is no valid reason for saying adieu.
We all make choices & our journeys part.
Lacking moments notice; without consent of ones heart.
Always in ones mind sharing the friendship and times.
Journey onward making days of new song and rhymes.
So freeing is traveling with the wind while observing changing seasons.
The beauty of the new horizon makes peace the souls grievance.
Ease down your sails for the broad reaching.
Explore in this life through learning & teaching.
A word not spoken of the depart,
only shown from the plotting of the travelers chart.
Do not spend time dwelling on what might have been
Clinging to what’s exhausted neither one could win.
Where there is a chair that once was filled
now an empty place for taking if so willed.
Make life valid through connections and love.
Not just have happiness but an immense amount of .

Our Purpose

I took your presence everywhere that I went.
So much devotion and time that was spent.
Fixing the wreckage i unmistakeably caused.
So much was broken, it was all flawed.
As I tried harder the pieces still fell apart.
What am I to do without half of my heart?
Time did uncover the wreckage was not of repair.
But how to move on when so much i still care?
How to progress and move on so strong when you were a piece of me for so very long.
I understand our love is too damaged to grow or be sustained but how do I get passed every
memory that's now pained?
It helps to know there was a purpose in our lingering love affair.
Our beautiful children entered the world with their special gifts to share

Table of Despair

She sits in the shadows of a place well too known at a table filled with people feeling
all alone. Staring at her empty glass the pain starts to slip away, by glass five she'll
be able to face another day.
She slides her chair away from the table of despair, and makes her way to a small town
stage she's been singing on for years. As she starts to sing her song she no longer sees
that small town bar, she's singing to a crowd of people away so very far. Her voice may
crack a little and go out from time to time but when she starts to sing her song a
strength pours out of her battered soul and for a moment she truly shines. With the music
in her ear and her mind and heart in the song she escapes from everything that ever could
go wrong. A heart with walls of steal and remorse for none but her she's destined to walk
a lonely road which seems to be preferred. She'll awake in the morning to a face familiar
or unknown but that night you'll be sure to find her at that table feeling all alone.
