A Broken Road

A broken road
is the best road to travel
Full of anger
Full of fear

Broken roads
They hold
Heartbreak
And insecurity

Broken roads
Carry history
of things like missed opputinities
And rejection

All of this may seem bad to you
But to me
To travel on a broken road
is a blessing

It leads you to
Where you are
Helps to get you closer to your one true love
They help to get you closer to the life you were ment to live

Rejection and heartbreak
live on broken roads
But I still say
To travel on a broken road is a blessing

I Don'T Care Anymore

I've given up on you
I don't care anymore
Go do what you want
I don't anymore
As long as you do it without me

I don't care about your obsessions
Your lies
Your drama
Your unhealthy wants
Your crazy "needs"

I don't care how much
You like him
You hate him
You love him
You can't decide

Now
With these final words to you
Know with no regret
I don't care
Anymore.

Taste of Freedom

Chains
Forged by you
Designed to hold me down
Loosening
Weakening

Your iron grip
That forced me to lye
To sit by your side
Unclenching
Relaxing

The web
You cast around me
To make me stay
Untwining
Unwinding

Everything you've done
Broken, erased, destroyed
You have no more control
I run away to my first
Taste of freedom

A Cliche

Red roses
Boxes of chocolates
A diamond ring
All cliches` you sent to me
I sigh and roll my eyes
Then set them on the table
I pluck the roses bare
And toss the chocolates in the trash
But I put the ring you sent to me
On my left hand finger
Not because it's valuable
Not because it's shiny
I put the promise on my finger
Because I love you
And the cliche` you sent to me

A Single Path

Paths branch out
From the main road
Sitting, stalling
Then choosing

All the roads I've traveled
Lead me back
Guide me to
A single path

So I walk
Step by step
Footprints the only things
That follow

No idea
What lays ahead
Only knowing
What lays behind

No fear
All anger left
At the crossroads
Sitting beside my regrets

Walking this path
A single path
My path of pebbles and sand
Feels to right to be wrong

Afraid To Change the World

I never thought I’d be so afraid
Of change,
and what I’d to to my life,

And others’.

I feel like a revolutionary,
Standing behind the curtains
Afraid to read the speech leading others into battle.

I know they won’t be ready
to hear the cries of pain,
to see the blood of Death itself,
to feel the suffering of hell,
for all the wrong that they have done.

Like the sinner man,
Afraid to pray
Afraid to be forgiven
Afraid to make another mistake
To dirty his newly cleaned soul

Afraid to change the world
Afraid to make it dark and full of pain
Afraid to change it for the worse.

Popping Seams

Values.
The glue of society.
Morals.
The stitches of community.

These are the things
that hold a world together
But in the age of greed and corruption
The stitches
Made of goodness
That hold our world together
Are popping seams.

I Envy

I envy the birds for they can fly away from their troubles out into the sky, I envy the wanderers for they are free Not tied down by their problems not like me, I envy the innocent for they have not seen The wars all around us and the ones there have been, I envy the smart ones who walked away from it all Much unlike me for I stumble and fall.

Ebony Hearted

I am the ebony hearted
I am those with no soul
I am those lacking a conscience

I laugh at your tears
I whisper your secrets
I feed off your fears

I relish in your misery
I rejoice at your pain
I am the ebony hearted

It Was Onyx Cloaked

Running fast down an old brick ally way
The clop-clack of my shoes
As I try desperately to reach the light on the other side
It is coming for me
My time has come
Long finger nails pierce my shoulder
Ripping cloth
Drawing blood
I spin around
Knowing the maker of my demise will face me
It was onyx cloaked and ivory skinned
