Created By God

How can you deny being created by god?

Dont you wonder where we all came from?

Doesnt that have to matter some?

Doesnt he deserve to be served?

At the very least to be loved.

How can you deny you were created by god?

Havent you seen all that he has given?

How do you think you are living?

When you realize all that the world has become,

thats when you know he has won.

Haven't you wondered where it all came from?

Its all that God has done.

Matriarch

Strong & Stead Fast
Never looking to the past
One hundred years you have stayed
One hundred years, you have led the way

Always had good things to say
Criticizing others has never been your way

The one i look up to for your strength & Light
Always feeling loved
No matter how many of us there were in sight

Always beautiful inside & out
Like a rose opening for the first time in the sun
It is here you have shone & won

When others leave their shadow behind
You shall leave your light

Not a day will you be out of sight
Nor ever out of mind
You'll always be the first true friend of mine

I will not cry when the time comes simply because you are gone
But because you have lived

Your legacy is here to stay
A bright light that will never fade

Growing old is so weary
Cold
For each one of us will eventually have to go
It is my faith that helps me to know
that we'll all be together again in the after glow

As time slowly closes in
I'll be alright
Your never out of sight
For now, you are, my guiding light

Sandy Hook Elementary

Taken Away
Though they wanted to stay
Christmas just a week away
Not having a chance to say goodbye
Leaving mom and dad behind
Peace and Comfort they need to find
A senseless Act
Wishing they just came back
No words can be said
Hugging my children tighter before they head to bed
Reminding us to cherish life alittle more
Say I love you as you walk out the door
Nothing can fix the damage that has been done
Rest in peace precious little ones

This tragic event is not the first nor be the last
but if we work on change we can put it in the past

Where was God in this senseless act?
Wanting these lives to simply come back
Satan came in his place
Evil layed down his head
Leaving behind pain and dread
Oh' Christmas Tree
Oh' silent Night
Twas evils will in this plight
It shouldn't of happened, especially not this way
So say, i love you before you start each day

To My Military Husband, I Would Give Up Tomorrow

I would give up tomorrow for you
knowing your in my life
knowing way before i said,"I Do"
Every memory
No matter how small, important in its own way
Every tear shed worth everything it stood for
For each time we thought"who may know where the road goes",
We discovered and uncovered each and every one
For every time i questioned, 'Will you love me when I'm old",
The answer was always simple
Every speech i ever helped you write
For each birth as we stood in awe at the sight
Every move to a new location
To the first step into our newly bought home
Every moment we spent together
And apart
To watching the sunset at dusk when the kids were small
being the few romantic moments
Getting through each day while our children faced their challenges
For everytime i thought of the song,"All i want is you",only reminding me
no matter how much time has past, its still true.
In this moment with your bright beautiful eyes
And
Brilliant smile
I would take this moment, any day
Give up my unknown future
to keep this, right here, right now
Because I Love You
I would give up tomorrow,
for you.

God Has Blessed Me

God has blessed me.....
With many happy times and memories
To the wonderful man standing next to me, along for the ride
To the three little faces i had grown inside
To good health
And
The abilty to breathe the clean air
To the wind that blows through my hair
To the bright beautiful sight from days first light
To the moons cool glow as we say goodbye to the day
 And
Bestowed the night
God has blessed me with all these things
But
Whats more, he's blessed us all when freedom rings

Heartfelt Poem To a Soldier

Dear Hero

You woke each morning to an ordinary life
Knowing too soon you would be fighting for your life

What bravery to cause you to sacrifice
What courage it takes to defend the life that is mine

What courage it takes to face the enemy alone
When did you decide to be a hero to all us,to you unknown

How do you watch losing your friends one by one
It hurts me,the thought, you being someones daughter or son

How do you stay sane when you return
How do you cope after all you have learned

You woke there each morning to hear a blast
You now wake each morning to a scream from the past

Thank you will not ever be enough
Takes a special few to ever be that tough

Facing the Monster

Twisting,gutwrenching fear
Heightens as this monster appears
No mercy does it give
for this reason we fight for our right to live
Charging through with little warning
What you would give to redo your morning
Devastation it leaves in its wake
Innocent lives it sure does take
There's no control over natures call
Oh, god help us one and all.
Rest in peace precious lil ones
Now, angels to god you all will make
Watch over us,
for all our sake
For if we die before we wake,
We pray the lord our souls to take

It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

Clouded
Weak
You wake before dawn
The daily routine
Making you forlorn
Struggle through each day
To pay the bills
Its the daily grind
That tests your will
Security in your life
You defend
What is the purpose in the end
The only consolation is the end of each week
So desired
No reason to speak
Think It
Dare say
Your almost there
Know this my friend,
It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

The River Flows In You Dedication To the Song By Yiruma

The river flows in you,
Just as you flow in life
So
Embrace the beauty
Embrace the pain
Take a look around you,
See what life can give
Have you seen the last sunrise?
Have you danced in the rain?
Have you looked at the last daybreak?
God has given it to us all,
For our sake
The river flows in you,
just like flow of each day
Have you seen the heartache?
Have you seen the pain?
Have you seen the joys and the beauty that you gain?
Take a look all around you
Really, look around you
Shouldn't you be in awe for all the beauty that you take?
Dont take it for granted
No, never take for granted
Its given for all our sake
So i ask, dont you believe in all that you receive?
The River flows in you
So Show compassion
And
Give thanks for all the moments that you make
Cherish every second
Love all around you
Gain strength from the pain
And
The heartbreak
You get this life only once
You dont get to do this again

A Hidden Gift

We're each handed what we are dealt
No one said life is trouble free
I used to dwell on how I felt
Till I realized the blessing I was given-
The mother of special needs children
Dont pity me with sadness
When my heart is filled with pride
For I can look deeper in the eyes of others and see the beauty they hold inside
I cant judge like I used to
Like you cant judge a book by its cover
Because a cover is all it really is-
Its whats under to discover
I'm more patient than most people though i didn't start out that way
For the gift of my children has guided me to this very day
I've learned not to ridicule for I have seen the stares of others
Knowing we are all unique
All these children and their mothers
Though,I have frustration and stress just like everyone else
I've been gifted with the knowledge and a lesson worth in gold-
That we all have imperfections that make us who we are
So very precious.... in our mold
