To My Military Husband, I Would Give Up Tomorrow

I would give up tomorrow for you
knowing your in my life
knowing way before i said,"I Do"
Every memory
No matter how small, important in its own way
Every tear shed worth everything it stood for
For each time we thought"who may know where the road goes",
We discovered and uncovered each and every one
For every time i questioned, 'Will you love me when I'm old",
The answer was always simple
Every speech i ever helped you write
For each birth as we stood in awe at the sight
Every move to a new location
To the first step into our newly bought home
Every moment we spent together
And apart
To watching the sunset at dusk when the kids were small
being the few romantic moments
Getting through each day while our children faced their challenges
For everytime i thought of the song,"All i want is you",only reminding me
no matter how much time has past, its still true.
In this moment with your bright beautiful eyes
And
Brilliant smile
I would take this moment, any day
Give up my unknown future
to keep this, right here, right now
Because I Love You
I would give up tomorrow,
for you.

Robert Thank you for your encouraging words.I have been a mil-spouse for 11 years so far.My husband is a lifer. No matter how hard or easy life seems at times i have always been proud of who is he and what he stands for.Thankfully i have not had to have him away as long as some. They are the strong ones to me.I have read your poem :They also Serve" and it is wonderful.I have another one called"The Nomads End" that refers to the military spouse.
